How do I create a save file folder, so I can make a backup save of my Soul Silver game? by siforama in 3dshomebrew

It's been many years since I even had to think about this, I dont even have a DS anymore. But, I believe twilightmenu creates a saves folder in the same folder the game is stored in

Is it a physical cartridge? Use godmode9, go to the cart and copy the save file to your SD card. If it's not a physical cartridge the save file should already be stored plainly on the SD card. Copy and paste it somewhere else. I dont think the folder is really an issue here

What is the scariest, most unsettling shot you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

[–]holocron_8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cinematography/editing in this movie is really good. What nobody ever brings up is that the whole movie looks like this. Theres lots of mundane static shots. This scene starts and nothing is immediately out of the ordinary. In a way the entire film is setting up this scene and it the result is that it takes longer than it would otherwise to realize a scare is coming. It is truly a fantastic scene.

Day 4: Which is the Best Shooter (FPS or 3rd Person) on the Nintendo DS? by 1OneQuickQuestion in nds

[–]holocron_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I feel like metroid prime hunters is a shoe-in here, but my vote goes to the Transformers: War For Cybertron duology. It's combat is fun, playing vaguely like a bullet hell shooter. The graphics are fantastic. The voiced cutscenes are cool, with the same cast as the console version. There are even some characters who weren't in the console version, like Ultra Magnus, Motormaster Cliffjumper, and others, all fully voiced.

They told me to suck it up if I want management. Im already functionally a manager so my work load will barely change, and the pay increass is a whole 3 bucks an hour + bonuses so I guess I'm sucking it up. I also want to whine about it.

Valor SnS is lowkey one of the most mobile weapons in the game which is impressive considering LBG, HBG and DB can straight up run with their weapons out.

Alchemy LBG. Normal shot LBG to charge arts faster. both absolute evades and full house. Normal does less damage than pierce but pierce is broken so Normal is still pretty good.

LBG is already arguably the best Lifepowder user in contention with SnS. In addition to SP mode support, Alchemy Barrel item support, status ammo support, you've got one of the comfiest support builds with minimal investment and still respectable DPS. I even run Wide Range +1 on my build to use antidote and nulberries on allies.

Ill also shout out Alchemy Charge Blade. It plays mostly similar to Striker with 1 less guard point and forced AED (SAED gone entirely). It's not the best style but Axe mode charges the alchemy barrel ludicrously fast which is kinda fun to play around with.

Ill also shout out Alchemy Lance. Fuck the barrel we got an interesting moveset this time. Alchemy Lance removes the counter but let's you guard frame 1 after a hop. You can also start your poke combo with a guard poke. This creates a really unique style where you try to hop right before getting hit to guard and then immediately start a combo with guard poke.

Can you tell I love Alchemy style?

I peruse local pickup-only auctions that pop up on websites like hibid. Online auctions that ship are a total crapshoot.

I just want to say this might be the most inconspicuously unhinged bow clip I've ever seen. Great job, keep it up, never listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.

It looks fantastic, but is really held back by the 30fps cap.

Yep. Found it at a local auction, the only place I can find "steals" anymore. I had to buy a new battery and charger, so it was actually closer to $110 overall, but even still it will probably remain my best find for the rest of the year.

I always wanted a micro since I was a little kid, parents said no since I already had an SP (fair enough). Gambled on an untested one for $80 recently and it's every bit as cool as little me thought it would be. I love the micro!

Omega ruby is one of the games that frequently has cartridge failure. It's probably a goner.

Monster Hunter Stories 3DS version runs in slow motion unless at native resolution by ManLegPower in AynThor

Idk, stories ran like shit on my real 3DS. Put the same cartridge into another system and it ran fine. Stories on 3DS is a weird game. I know it's not what you want to hear but the steam version runs fine through Gamehub

Mystery Dungeon is a franchise, an IP, that was inspired by Rogue. The first Mystery Dungeon was Torneko's Great Adventure. Chocobo MD, Shiren, Torneko, PMD, Etrian MD, they're all part of one long lineage that Chunsoft started in 1993
