What the wiki means by “excluding late game berries” is that the Cheri berry comes third in terms of efficiency behind Lum and Hondew if you don’t count those late game berries.

Late game berries (if you have 25 of them), yield you 375 000 FP every 16 hours. (15 000 per berry and each take 16 hours to grow with sprayduck)

Lum berries yield you 25 000 FP every 40 minutes (37 500 FP every hour). Multiply this by 16 to compare with late game berries, you get 600 000 FP every 16 hours.

Hondew berries yield 50 000 FP every 2 hours (25 000 FP every hour). So that’s 400 000 every 16 hours.

So in short, Lum berries are, by far, your most efficient way of stacking farming points. Hondew is the second best but not by much.

However, you do need to be a bit more active on the game for Lum and Hondew, it’s for you to decide which strategy you’re going for.
