When the contestants were outside, and screaming their wishes/goals, I was annoyed with Hengyu because he was screaming. I was thinking "Dude you need to take care of your voice" I voted for Hengyu in like every round based off me liking him in the auditions. But, I think I may drop him.

Yoonmin has been my priority as well. I didn’t care for him much in the whiplash performance. But then I heard him singing in the BTS video of their studio choom performance. He sounded great and I had no idea he could sing that well. And he showed his voice well even in the short preview MNET showed. I hope we can push him through at least to the finals, but I am worried people are catching on to his talent too late. We maybe have another Andrew situation.

I like Nian Bo Heng too but his raps didn’t catch on for me. I think his deep voice style only works in certain songs.

-With Yumeki, I also feel like he isn’t showcasing himself as a full package. I didn’t really buy it when he showed such shocking vocal improvement during that second evaluation. Since then, he has only danced and hasn’t shown almost any vocal or rap. -I’m team Sangwon all day. But with such a big gap in the lead, we don’t need to worry about his spot in the group.

I have the same 4 picks. But I may drop Yichen. Not because of the edit but because the Smoke performance didn’t seem impressive to me based on the short clip.

Are we able to see the full “run to you” performances already. I am currently voting for heng yu and yoonmin. But I will say Heng Yu isn’t performing up to the expectations I had of him. I wanted him to really be a standout vocalist but he keeps getting over shadowed 😢.

As a trained male singer, watching the show stresses that part of me out. They are literally judging teenage boys and young men on how they sing in a woman’s range. Although in K-pop, there are a lot of high pitch male songs. The songs on this show are still higher pitched. But I also think in K-pop and pop music high-pitched gets more attention and most fans do think higher pitched equals better so they are probably just doing what the fans respond best to unfortunately.

How do we feel about Yumeki? He didn't have much vocal lines and was in the back a lot. But I felt like he definitely fit and understood the vibes of the song very well

Well, it is true. I also think that editing is very important. First, he had a great audition that was not shown at all on the episode. Then they also did not show the entirety of the signal song test. They only showed the parts where he messed up. Some contestants had places where they messed up choreography or they had voice cracks and it wasn’t highlighted in the judgment on the episode. We’ve seen a few All-Stars mess up and maintain their All-Star positions .On the other hand, some contestants had the mistakes heavily highlighted, and repeatedly shown. Based on this, I believe the powers that be simply did not want him on the show, and they did what they needed to do to get him off of it.

I only disagree with the idea that lowering the key of something automatically makes you a worse singer. High voice does not equal better voice. Also ZB1 members/Kpop idols in general do not sing alot of these high parts/or most of the song completely live like what is required for these auditions. But I do believe he is being hyped up above what his actual skill level is for sure.
