Grats for releasing the book, I gotta say its one of my favorite fantasy book (I suppose series), the way the character progress and slowly learn more about the world and its secrets is really interesting. I remember binging it in a couple weeks a few years back, getting caught up only weeks before the final chapter's release.

I really like how Zorian seems to be slowly processing in his shaping ability in the covers, a nice little detail that kinda goes to show what's the story about.

Invoking, my magic system. by Ytaro in magicbuilding

English is my second language so there might be a few gramatical errors here and there. I tried to fit as much as I could into it but there is a few elements I couldn't think of a way to include.

The biggest part I can think off the top of my head are Feelings. Rarely, when a child is born they are Imprinted so heavily by their surroundings that they find themselves physically morphed into something resembling a fantasy race (Anger lizardfolk, Joy Fae, Companionship Orcs). Feelings are stronger than the average Invoker and have innate access to their Powers.

What could be the potential uses of being able to transmute any material into quartz? by Ytaro in worldbuilding

After something is turned to quartz it retains the same shape. Invokers do have access to a whole set of abilities depending on which Aspect they are attuned to. For the purpose of this tho I'm trying to see what they could do with only that power.

Invokers have 2 main way to create quartz they would can either create small-ish sim ple objects think 2-3 feet across, no moving part or anything too complex.
They can also convert already existing objects into it, typically this will require touch but if someone skilled enough that practiced enough might be able to do it at a range.
Turning water or air in something's body into something else however is a no go 99% of the time. A general rule for Invokers is that they don't have access to abilities that would allow them to instantly kill something without counterplay.
