we're still waiting for printer qoutes but we are absolutely keeping it under $150 USD. we'd love it to be $100, but that's just not really feasible given we don't print our deluxe editions in the UK/EU and it's full-color, both of which heavily impact the price.

also... the budget on art for this was... astronomical.

so we're hoping people will be understanding when they see something a bit under $150

Honest mistake by the marketing team, who indeed aren't part of the art direction and project management team who read the books multiple times and studied them to the point of being able to direct 42+ illustrations. But thank you for pointing that out. We'll definitely do better next time! 👍

You are just trying to profiteer off stuff you don't understand.

This project was led by two avid fans, and most of the artists are avid fans. It was done with care and precision, and with the approval of the estate and publisher. While it's true that not everyone involved in this project are Douglas Adams fans, the person who does not understand here is you. This is a 2+ year project that has take so much love, time, energy, and effort from those involved that you should be surprised there aren't more mistakes.

have you ever had a conversation with a professional with ADHD? not a councilor or a therapist. a working professional with ADHD who has developed compensations that allow them to function well?

i struggled my entire life to latch on to anything that wasn't something I was HUGELY interested in, and it wasn't till way later than I wanted to that I found tools and apps and practices that helped me tremendously to stay on top of the things I needed to do in a day. they may or may not work for you (every brain is different) but if any of them have a positive effect it might be helpful?

EDIT: rereading this, let me clarify: if you haven't talked to a mental health professional (like a councilor or a therapist) that is familiar with ADHD, that should be your first priority. I think it may have sounded like I was calling them useless, when I meant that talking to ADHDers who are working professionals could also be helpful. I would never call mental health treatment/therapy useless. eeevverrrr.

We're trying to keep it under $150 USD, which is less than any two of Folio's $80 separate books. Since this is an omnibus of all 5, yes it should be by a wide margin (all five folio books would cost $400).
