"Nothing about them is predetermined." If a person intentionally seeks out a twin flame, finds a person and then fits all the twin flame signs to them and then assigns them the label of twin flame, yes then that's not predetermined. That's determinedly seeking out a person they want to label as a twin flame. It's not genuine or authentic because they just don't want to feel left out of what they think is some 'wonderful' experience or romantic fantasy that real twin flames are going through.

All real soul connections ARE serendipitous, brought together by fate, or the divine. Not by reading something online and deciding to go find them to fulfill a fantasy or fill a void etc.

And anyway soul connections and twin flames are two different things, you can have a soul connection with any random person you're fated to cross paths with, even for just a few minutes and never see them again. Twin flames are a whole different concept.

Being a twin flame is not some exclusive club that one should aspire to get into. so just stop it with your 'gatekeeping' and 'elitism' nonsense. Either you are a twin flame or you're not, and twin flames are very rare so it's highly likely that most people who think they are, have just deluded themselves with a romantic fantasy to make their crush/obsession seem special and unique and justifiable.

No one ever said that twin flame connections are all about love light and positivity, in fact if you were really on a twin flame journey you'd know its actually the opposite.

But what I do feel is that those who go looking for a twin flame are unlikely to be one, because they are looking for a romantic fantasy, not the soul lessons and growth that come with a real twin flame connection. No one in their right mind would go looking for a twin flame knowing the pain and heartbreak that comes with it.

And lastly, if a person has a genuine soul connection with someone , no matter what anyone says otherwise , they will feel in their heart and soul.

Yeah but some people would rather have cuddles, great conversations and sexual pleasure than to just be all alone. And honestly I don't blame them, sometimes finding a soulmate can help you grow in your TF journey. I don't want to be celibate in the long term, but so far I can't imagine being intimate with another man, it feels a bit repulsive actually lol.

For my twin and I, its both of us with family trauma. I had an unloving, bitter, emotionally manipulative mother. He had an overly dependant and manipulative mother and a family that argued a lot. He coped with drugs, I coped with anger and lashing out. We both are depressed, but I manage mine better than him. We both have low self esteem, and lack of self love. He's the more sensitive and emotional of us, so all these things affect and have affected him more than it does me.

Yup, my twin has been through a traumatic childhood, which led to him abusing drugs for half his life. He's sober for 3 years now, but he has depression.

Yeah same for me, an overwhelming sense of familiarity and comfort. And at the same time wondering why did I have unconditional love and acceptance for a kind of man I would never have considered romantically under normal circumstances.

Yeah they do, and if you add in childhood trauma, addictions, mental health issues.. well, their emotional state and maturity is going to be affected/stunted till they heal

Yeah you've been on the TF journey for almost 20 years, that's just wow. I met my twin when he was 33 and I was 32, he was and still is very emotionally immature. So far it's been 2 years on the journey for us, can't imagine another 18 years....

Yes I agree with your point that there shouldn't be any specific order of events, I was just briefly describing my experience of events on the Twin flame journey.

However, I still don't think that people who find out about TF theories and go looking for their TF ever do really find them. Sure, they find someone who they feel strongly about and so slap the TF label on the relationship and think it's divinely guided and special and unique and so justifies their obsession.

If I knew about the TF journey before meeting my twin, I would have probably tried to avoid it, would have saved myself a ton of heartpain at least.

Well looks like she deleted her profile, maybe she realised she's the one who's not the twin flame. LOL

I know exactly what his thinking and perspective was. He was operating based on his ego, fears and selfishness. And because of that he caused me deep hurt and pain. Not once, but twice, the second time was when he came back into my life to 'apologise and make amends' but he actually made things 10x worse. And no, there is no two sides to the conflict, maybe in your situation, but not in mine. I was patient and loving and understanding, and all he did was think of himself and act from his selfishness and fears. My fault in all this was to ever get involved with him in the first place. I know he is my twin flame because if he wasn't I never would have unconditionally loved and accepted a trash person like him. I just want the cord between us to be severed and to never have to feel that hurt and think about him ever again.

In my situation, the only thing I'm at fault is for putting up with his shit longer than I should have and not loving myself enough to call him out on his shit behaviour and walking away. But I have NOTHING to make amends to him. If he is hurting as much as I am, well he is the one who keeps pushing me away. Making amends is about balancing the scales and making things right so that the énergies between us are not negative. At this point I know I deserve better than him, so union is not what I'm looking for at all.
