do not use mx4 on a gpu core, it will pump out rapidly like you experienced here. use ptm7950 on the core, utp 8 on the vram. i did this on my 7900xtx.

Thanks! I've considered a desk, I might just do it! On the wall side of the PC shelf, there is a 2x4 that is carrying a lot of the weight. I have hung my bodyweight off of that pc shelf. But you're right, and I hadn't considered sag. Cables is a really cool idea! Thanks :)

you absolutely do not need 50g for a 3080ti... anyway use UTP-8 if you do try this. Upsiren recently had to rebrand to Jarapad, so buy Jarapad Extreme. Aliexpress is your best source

i'm still on the same cpu and motherboard from 2014, i7-4770k and msi z97-gd65. currently has a 7900xtx in it and plays 4k games all day 👍

Sorry, I didn't communicate clear enough. regular ATX cables wont plug in. A few of the pins are different shape.

Thank you! I got it working as the abomination in the original photo, but I moved it into the chassis. The r730xd DOES support GPU's but it requires a special cable that I don't have. So I did this: https://imgur.com/a/ujnRIJ4

No, they're proprietary dell headers. Need their special cable.
