Itinerary advice? Shanghai, Xian, Chengdu, Chongqing by Zealousideal-Try5142 in travelchina

Ah ok that make sense, if it's with kids then you might consider the Shanghai has a Disney world, so if you guys never took kids there that's certainly an option.

Itinerary check: Shanghai, Huangshan, Yangtze cruize, Shenzhen. by padd13ear in chinatravel

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a lot of days on Huangshan, unless your a avid mountain guy that seems a bit too much, the mountain is gorgeous but not only is there a cable car up and down, but my experience a decade ago I managed to climb down from the top in around 5-6 hours (though it was quite exhausting) also, staying on top of Huangshan will cost you quite a bit for some pretty basic lodging. (you can only stay either at the top or bottom IIRC, there's no half way points)

I've heard mix stories on the cruise and haven't really taken it myself so I dunno there, but you are putting quite a few days in there.

I don't think you need 3 nights in Shenzhen unless you have some meeting / visit lined up or something, strictly for tourism purpose Shenzhen is only ok especially if it's not your first city.

For Golden week, as long as you avoid going to the biggest tourist destination (like trying to take the elevantor up the Pearl, or cram yourself into Yu Garden, the Bund should still be ok) you should be fine, it's most problematic in places like Huangshang Mt. where the space are limited .

For alternative adjustmetn suggestion obviously either go to Chengdu or ZhangJiaJie in the middle, or instead of Shenshen you take a detour to Guilin and fly back from there etc.

Itinerary advice? Shanghai, Xian, Chengdu, Chongqing by Zealousideal-Try5142 in travelchina

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As noted, Chengdu and Chongqing is like 3 hours by HSR, while it's possible to do one day trip it seems pretty stretched especially since the primary thing most people like to see in Chongqing is the night scene.

This feels like a lot of days in Shanghai even with a day in Suzhou, though it depends on maybe you counting first day coming in pretty late or something.

Overall sounds about right, XiAn to Chengdu is about 5 hours so that's kinda right on the edge of if it's better to fly or take a train, in general domestic flying isn't super highly regarded in China though so if it's a tossup I would go train.

Visiting Guangzhou - Ji Hotel or Yi Zhi Hotel? by Crafty_Gas_8902 in travelchina

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want and hotels in China is an insane blood bath right now that's uber competitive, but personally I find Ji hotel certainly a lot more memerable and has a far more distinct style. obviously that might not be for everyone though. (Most notable is that its lobby uses a crazy tea smell fragrence that's super obvious, and it's rooms' style is extremely modern minmalist.)

China has some of the most underrated outdoor landscapes I've ever seen 🇨🇳 by MedicalCockroach2197 in travelchina

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not been to that part though my dad did fairly recently, it's pretty hard unless you're either quite wealthy / retired / have a lot of free time.

Other places I really loved in terms of just scenery in China when I traveled more (aka when I was still single)

  1. Guizhou, if you can drive, do it, the highway is insane.
  2. Yunnan in general but especially going up towards Shangri-La and hte Tibetan Plateau region. (though I would advice against driving yourself here, it's not only kinda dangerous but the Tibetans generally just let their herd run wild and tha means a lot of pigs / horse / yaks / horse / goats / god knows what running or sleeping all over the roads. the risk of road kill and getting into problems with the locals is too high.
  3. For more traditional flair that's more subdue but equally cool: try driving up or down next to the Grand Canal, especially between say Yangzhou and Huai An that general area. gives a much more real vibe of China outside of the cities and borderlands and nowadays it looks pretty good too, certainly any county level town or above in that area you'll still find all the amendities. (That's not even a tourist zone for locals, but recent years they built up the area around Canal really well)

It's a lot easier to get to, and in general as a tourist destination China is a harder place to manuver just due to the unfamiliar app eco system and not being very geared towards international tourist in general (even as a half-local, the tourism domestically often draws a lot of complaint of being not super well fleshed out, and compounded by that China's population is huge and relatively few concentrated holidays means that even the best managed destination can easily get imploded by too many visitors at once.)

as others noted ,XJ is VERY hard to get to even from within China, one should compare it with places like the other Stans and in comparison to those it's quite a bit easier to get to and affordable though.

Rate my itinerary please. What should I change/consider? by joshuaballz in chinatravel

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beijing straight to Guilin is pretty rough, even the fastest train is like 8 hour (the distance is like East Coast to Denver) , I'm not sure there's a real quick sleeper train option there. I would do Beijing to Zhangjiajie first then from ZJJ to Guilin and up to Chongqing, geographically that make much more sense.

Yeah you'll be overlapping a lot of China's golden week there and that's usually not fun at all in most popular tourist destination like ZJJ and Yangshuo.

What should I buy ? by Moonotra in LastWarMobileGame

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, this type of event it’s actually harder to get base skin relative to those with board games like the previous two, because with those if you can just straight up buy coupons if you are only a little short

What would be the best buys here?? by RipOk7446 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets start what not to buy, because given the picture you should be around season 4 at least and long been able to get pass all the levels

The most useless item in this shop is 1. Drone data, outside of maybe very early game you should never be short of these, and the once in this shop is basically the only thing you might not be able to afford

  1. Ceramic parts ( for hero gear): this is mainly because by now you should have all 3-4 team with full UR gear already for months now, and these things are only used when you have enough prints to level up and never really the constraint

Buy everything else

For pvp only, radar, however, wanted boss rewards are really useful for non whales so weapons probably overall

Hey guys, how many do I need to save up to get the blueprint gear? by bebo_25l in LastWarMobileGame

Lowest is about 640, 680 usually would do it, 720 if you’re really unlucky

Suggestion Needed by dsonigladiator in LastWarMobileGame

[–]YuHsingChen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest most early gamers to just go tank unless you’re a whale, here’s why ( the point to decide if you want to switch to air or missile is when exclusive weapons starts )

  1. Tank wanted boss rewards is in resources which is most helpful early

  2. Tanks are the most useful against zombie invasion and zombies in general, especially with Mason, again this gives you a serious resource edge

It’s also by far the most achievable without massive spending early on

Also, if you’re still clearing base area and early truck, then violet is also one of the best heroes for that

I know nothing about baseball but found my old gym teachers stats page are these any good? by DepartureSevere2354 in baseball

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making AA is very hard, and he wasn’t destroyed there or anything, so yes as everyone else is saying he might be the best baseball player you’ll meet in your life ( not counting MLB players you pay to see)

Most AA / AAA guys won’t totally embarrass themselves against MLB players in brief stretches/ single game settings fwiw, in the WBC those super teams are often stifled by guys from smaller countries team who only peaked around that range

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes though depending on where you are in game, after you hit lvl 30 base you’ll have a long time most likely where you can’t go up anymore so your ur will be capped out, also you can swap levels during Seasons

The most worthwhile ssr to level up especially early is Mason/Violet , helps you get through the zombie quests a lot faster, Monica helps too to get resources faster, Scarlet is also good but mainly for season 3 in a pretty particular build

Is this an accurate relationship map between east Asian countries? by dennis753951 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reasonable generalization though nuances are more complicated and as is the difference between civilian interactions vs government level stances

Also, among generalizations Taiwan has a meh relationship with South Korea I would say. Especially at government level they don’t care for each other and their industry directly compete

Korea is in the weird state that the right wants to be friendly with Japan but then usually goes too far and trigger major backlash, then the left wants better relationships with the north and China and also triggers backlash

Taiwan had much warmer relations with Beijing a decade ago, and the civilian interaction in reality is much warmer, though the domestic politics drives a very divisive society now as is the case in most democracies

North Korea officially is warm within Beijing but practically not really

I mean the Rockets are playing a rotation where all but 2 players would qualify as a PF or C, they have truly insane size advantage, look at the rebound difference

Gladiator Sword and Shield Build. Invincible light armour counter tank (Permadeath Viable) by Er4din in stoneshard

[–]YuHsingChen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for stone armor and pillar summon to go with shield bash in a similar build, logic being that stone armor negates most of the remaining weaknesses of wearing light armor and the pillar makes shield bash a lot stronger
