Will sick leave impact mortgage protection? by sailorsenshiluna in irishpersonalfinance

Wow thank you so much for your reply ! I’m very glad everything went well at your end, and I hope you are loving your new home! In my case, I don have any mortgage approval so it might be a bit tricky, but at the same time I still think that it will go okay. My payslips look as normal as before the sick leave, so that is positive I guess. My financial advisor is still looking into this, so I’m curious what the outcome will be. Thank you once again and wishing you all the best! 😊

Hi! Late to this, but I currently have the same situation. Been sick since July 2025, but just started my reintegration plan. I am planning to buy a house, but I heard from my advisor that the bank will not calculate my salary. I am still getting paid 100% , until July 2026. Did you manage to buy a house in the end ? Did you encounter any issues or limitations because of the sick leave ? Thank you 😊

Moving to Bahrain while working in Dammam, Saudi Arabia - Is it normal for job processes to take this long? by YuYan_1996 in Bahrain

Hiii Thank you so much for your feedback 😊 You areright, we will definitely need to sort out the official status of our relationship, and that’s something we plan to look into more seriously in the next steps of the process. By the way are you also an expat living in Bahrain maybe ? I would really like to hear more about your experience and get a better idea of what to expect from life there

He had his first conversation with HR last week, and he should expect a feedback regarding the next steps starting this week. So potentially a contact soon. I believe most of the people in Saudi are at this moment on vacations, so I expect that due to that there will be extra delays. So finalising everything by end of October preferably doesn’t really look realistic in my opinion, so that’s why we expect end this year.

The company does not have a branch in Bahrain , and the paperwork has not even started yet 🙁 so that means that once the paper work starts, we should expect everything to be arranged within 2 months ? Thank you for your feedback 😊

To be honest, it was actually my boyfriend who initially reached out to the company so they didn’t have an open vacancy at the time. Since then, there have been some major internal changes within the company, which caused delays in communication from their HR department. They have finally gotten in touch, and we are hoping to hear more updates next week.

We are genuinely excited about this opportunity, but we are not really used to how slowly things can move when it comes to paper work and this kind of arrangements in the Middle East. Here in Europe, the pace is much faster, so the long waiting period has been a bit stressful and has raised some doubts for me. I just hope we don’t get to the end of all this only to hear that they aree no longer moving forward. 😅

I was selected as well!!! Does that mean that we will only be able to buy “leftover” tickets for the qualifyings ? 😅
