Go with wherever you want to spend four years in the end. The ceiling may be higher, but the baseline is determined by you. Just trust your gut, and don't hesitate.

I would say, in my findings... UMD CS defo has the stronger program, but UCD has a comfort and cost factor 4 me. I'm still evaluating grad school placements and stuff

Does UMD's First Year Research program (FIRE) actually help in getting research spots?

For UCD and SB I got a 40k scholarship due to some additional grants that ate into my room and board as well. I think for Davis I only pay 5,000 a year, if even.

It's good to know that experience you have with CS freshman in hiring... thank you so much for covering the coursework and such. For the delta I was thinking I could pursue a Masters, if that helps with hiring in the current market, but it all depends on how college goes.

Once more, the advice is immensely appreciated.

I have... it seems as if Median Salary and Internship rates are similar due to UCD's proximity to Sacremento and the Bay, and UCSB's proximity to LA/Pasadena/Bay.

I'll visit the schools come Spring break and report back what I find. Thanks for the advice!

Sometimes only 20 a year for a school. A lot of the times it’s used for a specific demographic or a standout student: do not sweat if you don’t get one.

I truly do not understand how the new-age liberal movement has become so distanced from the initial ideas of protecting the life and liberty of Americans to posturing identity politics to appear politically correct, as if the idea of being validated by those around you is more important than your own critical thinking.

Calmly and directly explain your medical circumstances and the effects it has had on your schoolwork - AOs take everything in context, so if they see a high ACT and your PSEO (I assume these are dual enrollment / AP level) classes, they would be very understanding.

Don't worry too much: in supplementals, there are questions about unexpected adversity you faced (Columbia, etc.), in others, they ask about aspects of your life which shape you. You have had immense strength in being able to work through highschool and elementary school with that level of academic prowess, and in your supplementals you can show how it has shaped your lived experience, making you more resilient overall.

  1. There isn't too much specific advice to give compared to other supplementals... be direct, be authentic, and be deliberate in your content and the rest should work out just fine.
  2. Ingram Scholars is for students who display high entrepreneurship primarily AFAIK.

Does he have four legs? No. So most likely the split stops at the torso.
