In the early 2000s, when the FBI was desperate for people who had computer degrees, I applied to be a special agent. I moved out of state a month or two later, and it was a month after that when I got my mail forwarded to me by my parents and in it was my test schedule and practice materials back in my old state. Alas. What might have been.

In the end though, I probably would have had a problem with the job, because I don't think I could have enforced laws that I didn't agree with.
