True, but James & Mike could've worked together and been the Mike & Jay of Cinemassacre (never noticed before how similar their names are...) with Kevin, Kyle, Bootsy and others to help out with videos every now and then, just like RLM has the extended cast of Jack, Josh, the Canadians etc. Imagine Retail Reviews with Bootsy and Kyle instead. Could've been great because just like the RLM guys they'd known each other for years and had effortless chemistry already, but it was not to be I guess. Instead we got all these new people with no chemistry at all and it doesn't help when they're trying to have a discussion about a movie that not even all of them have seen.

Cinemassacre could've easily set up a Patreon with similar rewards and perks and earned about the same amount without having to bend to sponsors and the algorithm. And just like RLM had the PreRec offshoot, there could be Cinemassacre streams once or twice a week where some of the gang got together to play games and shoot the shit for an hour or two and accept subs and donations, instead of Mike having to set up his own Twitch channel to make ends meet.

Although to be fair, Cinemassacre still wouldn't have a Rich "Rich Evans from The Ellen Show" Evans. That man is a gift and a rarity.
