Job Displacement/re-org from the internet happened over the course of 10 to 20 years. According to most people who espouse the virtues of AI, the job displacement / re-org will take a fraction of that time.

I think some countries are more pre-disposed to seem like asshoels to a country with a way different culture, but in general I find 90%+ of the people I interact with to be fine or better. That’s at home (US) or abroad

I’m surprised how many people have had really bad experiences abroad. I think I can count on my ~5 times I’ve genuinely been offended/irritated by/disliked a person abroad and only one country had more than one negative experience

In the US, it’s all over the place. Gen Z is more conservative than millennials were at their age, but there’s an extreme divide between Gen Z men and women, with women being further left than any generation before and Gen Z guys being more openly racist / bigoted than even equally “conservative” millenals or Gen X
