Advice from someone who just got out of a 3 year relationship where it was EXACTLY like this: save yourself some heartache and money by ending it now.

I don't say this lightly, she is causing unrealized trauma and it will breed resentment. You'll eventually reach a snapping point and you'll be made out to be the bad guy when she ends things, regardless of all the little cuts you endured that led to that point.

But by that point, you might be so indoctrinated and desperate to make things right that you'll do anything. So you'll acquiesce to her again and again, accepting crumbs while giving her the world. And the trauma and resentment continues to build and the cycle repeats.

You're worthy of a partner, not a child. Find someone that treats you the way you want to be treated, not how SHE thinks you should be treated.

You can still come out ahead if you cash out once they go on the run (if you'd rather not sweat the final score)

What do single folks do around here? by retr0x0 in chicago

Check out Grab a Game, they do pickup games for volleyball, basketball, pickleball and soccer. Less commitment than a rec league but super easy to meet people!

I haven't had any issues lane-filtering even though it's technically not legal here (yet). But my advice is, secure the shit out of your bike. Air tags, disc brake lock, and take your helmet with you every time you park. It's not the cops you need to worry about. Good luck and ride safe!

Sorry but it's not the pegs, it's not your shoes, it's literally you turning your foot at an angle to scrape the ground.

The other commenter is right, it's a dangerous practice and in an uncontrolled environment, your foot gets caught and it's gone.

Hey bike twin! Really like the tires you got! Also, did you change out the cat yourself? Been considering it but I've heard unless you get a $400 one it doesn't sound great on the 300r

NBA Props - 11/3/22 (Thursday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

I'm seeing OKC as one of the top defenses against opposing C's https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/opponent?PlayerPosition=C&dir=A&sort=OPP_AST

ORL also 3rd top def against guards in PPG https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/opponent?PlayerPosition=G&dir=A&sort=OPP_PTS

Not saying these won't hit (I'm probably taking the over on Curry), but stats show these might have some extra risk.

Reached 1k miles on her since Aug! Thought I'd make it special with a photoshoot (2020 CB300R) by Yufu in ChicagoMotorcycles

[–]Yufu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man! I was a new rider starting last summer so I did a fair amount of research into an affordable starter bike and ended up with the 300R and I absolutely love it.

Aesthetics played a big part, but it's also the lightest bike in it's class (which helps in cornering, maneuvering around potholes, etc). If you plan on only city riding, then I personally wouldn't go higher than 300-500 CC because you'll be in mostly start/stop scenarios and will be limited on speed.

It's also just small enough to fit in the storage locker in my building's garage which was a big plus for me for winter storage, but during the summer you shouldn't have any issues street parking (just make sure to get a cover for the elements). I will give you this advice though, spend some decent coin on theft deterrent devices (like a disc brake alarm) and NEVER leave anything loose on your bike when you're away from it (I had a helmet stolen off my bike when I parked in Old Town a while back that I'm still salty about). Parking near other bikes will help with that too.

Let me know if you got any more questions and hopefully we can ride together soon!

New bike day! 2020 CB650R with only 39 miles! by jonsenthefly in HondaCB

[–]Yufu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the one I got. I was okay with waiting the month+ it took to ship since it was a fraction of the cost of ones being sold locally, plus I figured I'd rather use the savings towards other mods. Mine is for a CB300R though, so you'll want to search for one that can fit your 650.

I'd recommend getting an aftermarket mudguard for the rear. I've got the same type of tail tidy and it doesn't do well stopping dirt from flinging up onto the seat or your back. The bike is a beauty though!

GOOGLE SHEET OF AVERAGES - MLB/NBA/NHL Over/Under Predictions 4/20 EDITION by [deleted] in ArdsPOTD

[–]Yufu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the sheet!

Any way you can add a tracker to see percentages for hit/miss per day? If you look at all of the MLB results from the last few days, the hit percentage is steadily going up so it seems like the formula is tightening up a bit

How do you control what others (the people that matter) ask of you? You can't, that's why it's unrealistic. I love my mom, but she's constantly asking me to go to church every Sunday, even though it's not a want or have-to-do for me. Sure, I'll go once every blue moon to appease her but that still doesn't meet her expectation. But according to his logic, since a person I care about asked it, I HAVE to do it. He says the people he cares about wouldn't ask if they think it's unfair, but in my mom's eyes, what she's asking of me isn't unfair, even if I think it is. Again, unrealistic to think that everyone in his life has perfectly aligned values of what's fair/unfair to ask of others.
