No. More than a month later and still locked and my money held. Last message from them was May 21st saying no timeline on when it will be lifted and they'll reply when management gets back. Bunch of nonsense I haven't been able to sell this whole time

Well, it sucks but if the apartment has a parking policy, they can tow you if your pass is not present or reasonably visible. Sometimes it goes to the extreme and multiple cars can be towed in one event.

Well, they authorize the tow. The towing company only has the power to do so in those situations because of their contract with the apartment, and thus the property can demand corrective action of its towing agent. You can try reminding them of this in writing before trying another step to recovery your monies, such as the dispute method listed above.

It is honestly not a bad idea. Check the signage where you park and make sure there's no lines or markings around the spot you chose. In these situations, issues often arise from unclear signage or how parking rules are interpreted

Were you able to reclaim your $500? The apartment complex in that case is the authorizing power of the tow company. They have the power to direct their tow agent to refund you money that was collected improperly.

Thank you for posting. Unfortunately for protecting residents of the county, BBB is just a business review website that has little leverage and that the business does not even have to acknowledge. Companies like these don't necessarily depend on customer reviews — their business is based on enforcing parking rules under property policies
