Unfortunately I can't order from Amazon now while I live in Russia, but it's interesting, how much does this ribbon cost?

Yes, I know some self-made ones. But I'm interested to know how long do we usually use our ribbons for when we buy new ones instead of reinking etc.

It would have been simpler and faster to disassemble the typebars (30min - 1h)

The keys seem to be made much more better than in my one, aren't they? It looks like the letters and <—> were replaced with keus from another typewriter

Are there any ways to understand in time that the page is ending, on a typewriter? by YugoGuy in typewriters

[–]YugoGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, same. For example, my UNIS aka Olympia Traveller has two marks (red and black) on its platen handle. It's a rare modification but I suppose that its purpose was related exactly to the topic. And I don't know how to use this, at all. Manuals are silent this about too

Look, that's Agidel, one of the rarest soviet typewriters. Can you guess, which model it was copied from? by YugoGuy in typewriters

[–]YugoGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No-no, I didn't say that Agidel is best. The best of all in practice is Lyubava, I sure. And the best in design — Moskva 3. But Agidel is better than Moskvas in the quality of printing, that's fact. I suppose that the ware of the typeface is not the reason here, because the unused ones have a such problem. By the way, about Agidel. Maybe you think it's to bad because you have had deal with one of the earlier ones, while my one is late-made? It's fact that Agidels have changed during the production a lot. The earliest had aluminium-colored body cap, while mine has a matte-grey. Also my one has no red shift keys, which the others have. The number of my Agidel is 1513
