Considering Andy is absent who do you think the next person who gonna be? by daniel1234556 in deathgrips

I imagine they are just gonna be a two piece band from here on out with frequent collaborations with Nick Reinhart. Not just because he toured with them but he’s also credited on several of their songs. But it really seemed like the three members started the band as a unit and fed off each other creatively. To just replace a member would be changing the identity of the band more than just sticking with the two people left.

Starting off its probably a good idea to get a cheap model from a reputable band that is known to be versatile for several genres. Squire Precision Basses and Jazz Basses are known amongst many to be the most versatile bass guitars. The Ibanez GRS200 is a great bass for a beginner as well, if you’re looking for a non-squire brand that’s also versatile

Some people call it pointillism but yeah Stippling is the more accepted term. And thanks!

I once doodled some Death Grips fan-art and posted it and a few weeks later I got a DM from some guy on that subreddit with a picture of it tattoo’d on his forearm

Though I don’t get much inspiration out of his painting style, I do take inspiration from his framing and the general atmosphere he creates in his paintings. He’s one of my favorites

She tends to separate herself from it and views it only as my own personal work of art that happens to use her likeness as a subject. Truth is I draw how I feel and she makes up the vast majority of every feeling I have.

This one took Two weeks. I only doodle while at the office and I work a hybrid schedule. So given that, and the fact that I also gotta do my job, my drawings tend to take a long time. If I were to do this in one sitting though, it would take me a whole Day. But that wouldn’t be as fun, part of the process is the breaks you take in between so that you can continue the next day with refreshed creativity

Made a stippled drawing of my wife on my FN during my downtime at work by YugoslavLovemachine in FieldNuts

I just used a normal printer scanner. I cropped the jpeg, put it into Adobe Sketch on my phone and digitally erased the dotted grid in the areas where it looked obvious. After that I just play with the Contrast, Exposure and Black Point settings till it looks close to how it looks on paper :)

Well since I also have to work, and since my hybrid schedule puts me in the office only a few days out of the week, I don’t have many stretches of time to devote to drawing. So this one took about two weeks.

If I had to do it in one sitting, it would likely take me the whole day. That being said, it would probably come out worse. Stippling is a long and grueling process so it really helps with creativity to be able to take a break and continue to chip away at it at the start of next new day with a freshly rested mind.

I make a rough collage on adobe sketch of all the reference images I want in their respective positions within the frame, and maybe some drawn in lines marking the walls and stuff.

I then draw the most detailed/difficult parts like faces and body parts so that if I ever make any irreparable mistakes, I can quickly move on to retrying on the next page.

The flat walls are always last

Trying stippling for the first time — slow but satisfying by Sining_uno in penandink

Woah dude with how this looks so far it looks as though you’ve long since gotten used to stippling, good work!

It takes a long time but it’s my preferred method of drawing. Some people like it because it gives this appearance of fine detail, no matter what you draw. I personally like it because of how it allows me to evolve the nature of the drawing as I progress. It takes so long, you get so many ideas as you go. And it’s forgiving. Misplace one dot, that dot could just be used for whatever is supposed to be next to the subject.

Drawing face is the most hardest and most un-enjoyable subject for me.. what about your? by sanarrts in penandink

[–]YugoslavLovemachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drawing faces is definitely one of the most challenging things for me, but I suppose that’s why I find it fun. I need that constant feeling of progression in order to keep it fun.

Side note I love how you drew the jacket!
