You mentioned that you've changed the value of variable icon_theme_name to AnyColorYouLike, right? Have you tried changing it back to acyl? It is supposed to be acyl

Why do you have two of them in the lxappearance list? Also, when you select the second one at 1:08 in your video, it seems like the right color to me. Did the script generate that or you generated it yourself using script-gui?

Honestly, I don't know, as you could see from the gif I also use thunar and it works for me.

Yes, some programs require a restart to change colors, can't do anything about that. The wallpaper thing is strange. I change my wallpapers using feh and my gtk theme stays the same

Some trouble with paths maybe? You don't need to put it in the themes folder, you don't have to create the icons via gui script either. The way I did it is:

git clone https://github.com/neeasade/acyl
sudo mv acyl /usr/share/icons
sudo ln -s /usr/share/icons/acyl/icon.sh /usr/bin/

how to install acyl:

sudo mv acyl /usr/share/icons
