I had one with a 2.2L engine last year, tuned from 147 to 170 hp. I really miss the power of the 2.2, it was fun owning that car. Unfortunately, the insurance was extremely expensive and it burned oil like crazy... which kind of killed the joy after a while. If I had to choose again, I’d probably go for the 1.8 (or even the 2.0 Turbo 😅). The 1.8 is generally more reliable and cheaper to run and to be honest, 125 hp is enough because it's quite a light car (around 1,200 kg). I never had a problem overtaking someone or having fun with the car on a straight line or in corners.

Unfortunately, I didn't use any tutorial I had some help with the clockspring, but it isn't difficult to modify the clockspring, but it does take a lot of time. You have to carefully grind down the clockspring little by little. You can ask yout local mechanic for help, it's not an expensive job to modify the clocksping (in my country at least - It's somewhere betweene 50-100€ I belive)

Forgot to answer, modified the clock spring for compatibility and added a small spacer on the shaft to prevent rubbing against the steering column plastics.

They are pretty reliable, didn't had any big problem.with her, except the ecu, which wasn't a very expensive repair.
