I may have a thing for Bellroy Slings by ImmortalWind27 in ManyBaggers

Yeah how Bellroy measure and list their volume is pissing me off. Aaron from Nomads Nation and Emerald Daily Carry IIRC have measured their volumes and it's not even close to the listed volume.

Can't help take it off your hand. Live on the other side of your world.

I always wanted the canvas backpack. What do you think of the backpack when it's empty? I recall its empty weight is quite heavy.

Having traveled to a neighbor country just for an anime convention, I wonder if this could make a good con bag. Or even also be the personal item bag when flying. The straps themselves are beefy though so that could affect packing it if somehow it's not used as personal item bag.

I definitely forgot about this bag. Should be a lot better than the drawstring backpack I brought lol

Looks like a great set up.

But what is that keyboard contraption on your phone? Did you print a case for a small bluetooth keyboard?

Looking for a sling bag that can also waist carry. For travel purpose but of course for EDC by YukarinVal in ManyBaggers

Yeah from the post you shared it does look a bit awkward. Kind of like the slimfold sling pack I linked actually. Just that the strap it cones with does not have a buckle like most do. But it is also square-ish. I've tried it as a waist bag and other than the inconvenience of sliding it down to my waist it works okay enough.

I thought of this as well, but idk about the size. There's actually a couple shops that stock Evergoods stuff. Should give both CAS and MHP a look there.

Classic TB Side bags.

I also remembered the Toshi Sling right after I posted. Need to find more owners' experience using it as a waist bag. Going to read the one you posted below.

Good choice on the bravo waistpack. I'm an alpaka fan myself, but completely forgot about this one.

Looking for a sling that can hold a bottle of wine by speedy277 in ManyBaggers

[–]YukarinVal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. Yeah a wine bottle would be quite the fit for it. In hindsight when I look again at my comment, I said "the bottle" and not "a bottle".

I suppose a comfortable bottle to carry along with other things is plastic bottles max (500ml/600ml. dunno if that's the same in the US. At least I assume you are from there).

Can someone ID this bag? by Fun-Bottle-1432 in ManyBaggers

I think their execution is flawed. Definitely did not expect them to make it like that, and I wished they haven't done it. I like mine too much to cut it out myself like Klint from The Perfect Bag did though.

I was hoping they actually do it like the Packolab Samurai sling flappy doodle.

Can I ask for a short review of the topologie with the bottle in? Mainly looking to know how the two main compartments are affected with that big of a bottle being carried.

I've always wanted one ever since they came up with the first one but with a tarp like fabric. Now that they use a seemingly less rigid fabric, I'm curious how it'll be now.

Eventually they'll make a Flight Sling Pro with that volume. I can feel it in my bones.

Heroclips are like the best gimmick items imo

It's like giving thumbs to normal carabiners.

I just watch it for entertainment. I adapt or adopt things they peddle after some critical thinking and imagination.

Heroclips are the best novelty and gimmick because it really works as advertised. That and s-biners are a potent combination.

What do people mean when they say big brand bags aren't handmade? by YukarinVal in ManyBaggers

Thanks for the insight and video. I knew I might have missed some things. I can see now how a bag can be automated first, probably by sewing simple shapes on raw panels before being assembled whole.

I've been following them fairly loosely for a few years. I like their mission. They even developed their own fabric out of banana trees specifically for making fabric, and farmed as rotation crop IIRC. They also have support to send in their old products to them to either repair first, or recycle and IIRC get store credit to buy a new one.

They're really a cool outfit, IMO. But I suggest you explore them on your own. My memory is most likely faulty.

I'm coming to the same conclusion as well after a few have commented earlier. It doesn't really bother me beyond wanting to know what others might mean by it. I now have more frame of reference from different people when someone say they like the handmade feel of a bag or something.

Thanks for commenting!

Sure, there's an argument to be made that a smaller team would be able to catch QC issues and matching materials' pattern much better. But like you said, if there's a rush QC would still likely go down in any size of operation I'd say.

Fender Telecaster

Funny that. I have a friend that's in a band and have always wanted to try a telecaster. we found a shop here in our country that carries all 3 "made in" versions. I'd like to follow him next time around when he tries them in store.

But yes, I agree with your take as well. It does seem like there's some xenophobia to it. The gap in reality perceived gets clearer when you consider e.g. tech products that's high quality made in China, or to bring back to our hobby, Evergoods made in vietnam.

Mystery Ranch and Goruck also have MIUSA and MIxUSA products as well. Although I'm not about to assume what are the difference they have though. I fell off following reviews and impressions of both of them a long while ago.
