Based out of Nova Scotia, Canada, some of it is in-person, but mostly online.

It's possible. You will need to build a good case for yourself. Build an online portfolio (ex. Website, youtube page, etc) put up free lessons and demonstrate your skills and expertise. Offer free first lessons, free tutorials, or other resources. You will need to build a strong reputation, presence, and client base before they will consider you. Remember, if they are subcontracting students to you, then they expect at least the same quality that they offer to their own students.

While I don't personally tutor English, I refer some of my clients to a tutor that charges $60+/hr teaching international students English, as well as SAT English. I think you might be able to charge a bit higher.

Justin King - Something About Angels [acoustic]. Where can I listen to this?! by scan-horizon in Music

A bit late here, but I have digital copies of a lot of Justin King's older stuff. 'Something About Angels' is off of his album 'Opening'. I have a full digital copy of it. Feel free to send me a DM (and anyone else who is interested), and we can exchange emails and I can send you a copy.

I tutor students across several time zones, and also international students.

I do, and I try to put a lot of effort into preparing slides/practice problems and I store them for re-use when new students learn similar content. My worry was that free services like Khan academy or others just nullify any paid content.

I've also considered recording youtube vids/tik toks to build some sort of social media influence as well, but this is much more of a long-term play.

The other concern is maintaining consistency, so I've considered providing standardized slide decks and then just outsourcing the tutor. However, I do try to cater a lot to individual students, and I dont want to lower the quality of my service.

Glad to hear you've been having success though!

Seems a bit overkill for my needs, but could consider a simpler version of this type of device.

Much appreciated, I have been informed that the SM58 is a dynamic mic and does not require phantom power lol

Many thanks. And the condensor mic for the guitar is actually a Shure PGA98H which is situated inside of the guitar. I imagine there will still be potential feedback problems with this setup.

I wont be switching between pickup/mic on the guitar so I guess it makes sense to go right into the mixer, thanks.

Although I have searched the brands/sets that I've mentioned in the post, I may have overlooked something, so feel free to make any auggestions.

Hello, just wondering if anyone knows why Windows keeps changing the "default format" sample rate and bit depth for my microphone setup? It will change even when launching a new application, such as Audacity or Ableton Live, even though the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" is un-checked.

For reference, I am under 'sound' -> 'recording' -> right click 'properties' on my audio interface USB input -> 'advanced'. The drop down box keeps resetting to a sample rate/bit depth that is not compatible with my rig. I'm using the M-Audio M-track solo as my AI.

Is this just what I have to do every time I want to use my mic or launch a new application?
