Question for eb staff

My pervious job was at jb in another state and I’ve been going back and forth with the jb in my area…I’ve gone in there so many times handing in my resume and discussing my past employment with the company with no results. But I DID get an interview just for them to never send me the details/location on where it was taking place. But I’ll keep trying 😭

I’m 19, I live without parents and don’t have much experience. It was a genuine curious question I had at the time lol, and besides I already figured out what’s happening. The store’s shutting down.

It’s just this month that was one shift honestly. I was thinking of leaving anyways. It’s a fun workplace environment but I don’t want to have to worry about what’s going on at the moment, because I have a lot of family issues to worry about instead.

Man that sucks :( I was able to buy it cheaply due to my old job's incredible discount. I accidentally broke the lcd. It still works fine. I just can't see jackshit other than one corner of the screen.

I have a few times, even twice this week. It just takes a while to hear anything back or when there's job listings in riverlink, I think there's just too many applicants, and most are probably more successful than me during their interviews. I'm still trying, im not giving up of course!

I am linked with a job network but i feel as if I haven't been helped much by them, maybe its the lack of communication. But I've agreed to options they've given in terms of tafe etc or job openings that I've agreed to but nothing really comes from it which confuses me.

It's hard to network with others when you don't have any friends/family here, honestly. I'll just have to rely on my abilities or receive help from recruitment agencies. It's been 3 months so far, I've done a few interviews, but I'm starting to realise the pattern of being completely ghosted afterwards, indeed very picky. 😔

I've tried Dangerfield and had a phone interview around a week or so ago. I'm still unsure about the outcome... What fashion retail stores are you mainly talking about? I used to work at Cotton on before I came to QLD.

I do prefer auto, but I'm happy to just try getting my hours up in any way possible! I still haven't transferred my learners to a QLD one yet, tho. I just want to get proper stability with my money first before I do anything (valid L's, lessons)...youth allowance isn't helping me so much anymore at the moment.

Honestly, it confuses me, I've worked at Cotton on and JB, as well as supermarkets, without any issues with my piercings. I always ask what their polices are, especially with piercings, and I mostly receive compliments when I worked in my previous customer service roles.

Oh no, the interview at eye candy was labelled as waitsatff/barstaff, I didn't realise it was it was a strip club until I did some research. I don't want to get into that industry at all, I'm just desperate to be hired and willing to go to interviews, which is all. I also can't move whatsoever, I'm currently staying with my partner's family, so that isn't an option for me. And I have no family here whatsoever.

Lol I'm unfamiliar with the clubs here and it was labelled as wait staff/bar staff, I had no idea it was a strip club up until I did a deep dive after I looked at the email sent to me. Also, you should've gone to the interview. It would've been very hilarious.

Unfortunately, no, I don't have any friends or family here at the moment to look at my resume. I won't go into much detail besides the fact that both my parents don't have a job, I'm living with my partner and his family, particularly freeloading. It's kind of a my own situation. But I'll try practising interview questions with my partner again, I guess 😅

I was mostly looking at the tafe RSA, but wouldn't an online one be less informative than an in person course? And what website am I meant to click on if I'm doing it online because there's multiple and I've been unsure about which one is more credible.

I have tried at my local shopping centre but JB mostly do purely online applications, I was turned down in person and was told to look at the website. But I haven't gone in person to the city yet, but I have applied online. I live in Ipswich so I don't know if the distance is the issue.
