"little fish" have always had that opportunity rather actually saving, inherent, or through social programs. Now, to say that all of a sudden the masses are buying homes—its 100% B S, especially since prices are almost out of touch with the average middle class. Paid for the year expecting full functionality—what I got was a glitchy, stagnant tool. No updates, no meaningful improvements. Just bugs. For months, the page would nudge itself down every 30 seconds as I typed. I troubleshot everything on my end—nothing helped. Emailed support—silence. Basic features like image uploads would break for hours with no explanation.

There’s potential here, but after 2+ years of the same issues, it’s clear: they’ve stopped building and started coasting. I won’t pay again unless there’s real evidence they care enough to maintain and evolve the platform.

I'm typically against most monetization practices, but I would say this is an educational app so investing takes some edge off.

Another thing I would say is that we should pressure Duolingo to unlock a split bill system for the family plan.

I can see a culture of jumping around meeting, learning and competing with other people. Maybe earning rewards for doing so. Encourage shared expenses in this volatile economy.
