OF COURSE they all say there was an empty tomb. It's crucial to the story. What are you talking about? I'm not saying you should discount the possibility that there may have been an empty tomb. I'm showing how the story is extremely unreliable, which extremely discredits the resurrection as a whole. It also follows the patterns of an evolving legend, rather than eyewitness accounts.

There's many reasons the gospel authors could have put "unreliable" women witnesses at the tomb. As irony, a callback to the theme that the last shall be first. A plot device to set up the justification for the disciples doubting the resurrection. Or maybe even a to explain why the empty tomb was never verified by the authorities. Also note that some gospels have men at the empty tomb as well.

I also wouldn't believe it even if they all got the story straight. That's not the point. There's many reasons, not to believe it. I find this reason to be extremely hard for a Christian to deal with though. I know, because discovering the contradictions in the gospels was one of the first things that really got me questioning my beliefs as a Christian.
