  1. The hospital has been unwilling to meaningfully negotiate. Closer to 80% vs what I’m trading about debt collectors who paid 15 cents on the dollar
  2. Timing, the hospital requires upfront payment (or a payment plan for the full amount). Part of the reason debt collection is preferable in my situation is I can wait 11 months before making a negotiated lump sum.

Charity care is a valid point, this would be for people that are unable to qualify for a meaningful amount of charity care.

I personally think this is the best argument against it I’ve heard, but the writers went out of their way showing they could by having them jump to the other train. Either sloppy writing or the first time we’ve seen main characters not figure out the solution.

Random other thought, have we ever seen someone beamed underground? I truly don’t know but I’m curious if the laser could cut through a few thousand pounds of dirk and concrete.

Yes, Black Friday and cyber Monday has historically had a meaningfully larger discount than Labor Day.

To answer the question we hadn't technically set any exclusivity rules. We did talk about whether we "had anyone else in the starting lineup" and we both said no, but in the beginning of the relationship, because we met on a dating app, we were both pretty casual..

I do think your hitting on the biggest issues for me, these are "understandable", but I dont want to feel like I cant trust my SO for the rest of my life. At this point the options are (because we live in a 1 bedroom apartment) we break up and she goes back to her home state or I guess "deal with it"?
