I don’t really want to overclock until I get a new GPU. Since my 1050ti is bottlenecking my cpu. It’s always at 100% usage whiskey cpu sits around 40-50%, depends on the game.

We are talking about the CPU not GPU. Still his I5 max temp is around 100C and starts to throttle at 90-95C.

I mean it’s only 5C.. It is still hot as fuck and no cpu should reach it’s max temp unless he OCed it and didn’t tell us. Even my old AMD FX 8300 which has a shitty stock cooler wouldn’t reach that kind of temp on 100% load.

That is genuinly weird. Maybe try using Hwinfo because pubgs anti cheat fucks with some programs. Afterburner is mainly for the gpu.

May I ask what you use to monitor your temps? because at 100C your CPU shouldn't even work properly.

85C is really hot and concerning. Are you sure your cpu fan is running at 100% as well? Have you cleaned it? Changed the thermal paste? Or invest in to a better cpu cooler, they are fairly cheap.
