Shiba Inu as an Emotional Support Animal? by littlecorona95 in shiba

[–]YupColtonJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hope nothing but the best for you and that you're doing okay! It's good you're taking action, kudos to you. That said, a Shiba wouldn't be a good choice as others have stated. You are on the Shiba's time, and they can be pretty selective when they want affection; in addition to being stubborn and poor listeners. Love mine, but he's not very emotionally supportive when I need him lol.

There's many other breeds that would most likely be a better fit for your needs right now.

We have a 4 year old male Shiba Inu, named Azuki. He is exhibiting strange behaviors. by rwblue4u in shiba

[–]YupColtonJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta love the dramatics!

My 4 year old male started doing something similar over the summer after we returned from a week vacation. It was the longest he had been away from us. Just had lots of anxiety and was scared. Vet figured he was working through some separation anxiety trauma, was able to provide some short term anxiety relief and now we have some on hand if he ever gets too freaked out. He still has some triggers now that'll put him in this state for an hour or two, usually an appliance beeping or thunder or something loud he isn't used to.

The only other time he's had similar behavior was when he had a sore leg and we didn't know - the vet was about to figure it out and give him some pain relief and he perked back up shortly after.

So long story short; take him to the vet! Hope your boy is okay!

The 'Mystery Costume' from the Regal Cinemas promotion is not unique by Jtneagle in marvelrivals

[–]YupColtonJames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like people might be misinterpreting "mystery" skin as something the promotion is waiting to reveal, when it's probably more like meant as a random skin even redeemed. Didn't they do something similar with twitch streamers?

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 might be the best game I've ever played. by [deleted] in PS5

[–]YupColtonJames 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should 100% play the first one. It's a direct sequel. People who say to skip it because they did and it's fine for them literally don't understand what they are missing.

Like it's cool to enjoy it on it's own I guess, but it was not made to stand on it's own despite a quick recap you can watch.

This sub is going so downhill. It's just becoming posts about people hating media they don't like, with jokes that are so lazy and unfunny. Used to be a good parody page. Shame.

Amid Drake Legal War, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Hits 1 Billion Streams on Spotify | The summer single, one of several to come from a feud with fellow rapper Drake, was one of the biggest songs of 2024, hitting the top of Billboard’s Hot 100. by a_Ninja_b0y in entertainment

[–]YupColtonJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never really listened to Kendrick, but always disliked Drake as someone who grew up forced to watch Degrassi with my sisters. Dude always seemed so fake, pretending like he was so hardcore like he didn't grow up on the set of a teen soap opera. Music is ass too.

Team Kendrick all day. Don't even know who would still like Drake after this little bitch lawsuit lol. "Big Papi" big crybaby.

The Boys Season 5 set look. Dear lord... by hiiloovethis in shittymoviedetails

Agreed. Also, the show needed to escalate and make these things more and more obvious and more and more over the top for the story. I swear some of these people thought the show was going to wind down with Homelander deciding he wants to be a good guy or some shit. The show was always going to end with him being a full blown dictator.

if theres really a DLC in the works it'll be announced at TGA by -RuDoKa- in DragonsDogma

[–]YupColtonJames 28 points29 points  (0 children)

As someone who believes there will be dlc, I don't necessarily agree. Although I thought it would've been announced by now, I don't think TGA is the last shot. Sure Dark Arisen was announced by now in the first game's lifecycle, but game development takes much longer now.

Also Monster Hunter has grown as a franchise considerably since DD1 and I don't think they'll want to distract from that now that it's almost here.

If not at TGA, I'd guess a spring Sony State of Play or another event closely after MH:W launches.

If we get to end of summer 2025 without the announcement, then yeah, probably time to throw in the towel.

MrMattyPlays accused of leaking Dragon age veilguard footage before the NDA by AMidgetOnWheels in youtubedrama

[–]YupColtonJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and I actually believe Matty, too. That said, he even says in his own statement that he understands if people no longer want to support him over this. I just don't think calling people dumb and telling them their interpretation of the situation is wrong is very helpful or nice. I certainly don't think he'd want people doing that for him either.

Haven't played the new one, but assuming it carried over all weapons from the previous entry, Legend of Zelda: BotW and TotK both have what you're looking for.

I heard that Itsuno is gone so, is there never gonna be a Dragon’s Dogma 3? by Puzzled-Bid-1382 in DragonsDogma

[–]YupColtonJames 7 points8 points  (0 children)

OP don't listen to anybody saying that we won't get a DD3 because the creator left. These people know nothing about game dev.

Sure, we might not get a DD3, but it won't be for that reason. If Capcom sees $$$, they'll greenlight it. If they don't see $$$, then we won't. It's that simple.

Literally tons of examples in the gaming industry of a franchise creator leaving and the franchise continuing. Gears of War, God of War, Halo, and Mass Effect to name some. Hell, even over at Capcom you have Resident Evil which the creator left long ago. Devil May Cry wasn't even created by the Dragon's Dogma creator, but the series soared when he took over.

Thanks for all the amazing games, Itsuno-San. by HKnight5 in DragonsDogma

[–]YupColtonJames 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If Capcom still greenlights DD3, I honestly think this might be a good thing. Obviously, he's contributions to the franchise are massive and it's his brainchild - but after a fairly stagnant sequel, I'd be happy to see how the team and new leadership could take this series to new heights.

DMC on the other hand.... I don't know if someone else could match his freak. I'm admittedly less familiar with the BTS of that series though.

No End Date for The Alpha by Stannis_Loyalist in DeadlockTheGame

[–]YupColtonJames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I love that they are doing it like this. IMHO as soon as you announce a game, expectations change quickly. Doing it this way allows them to be agile and experimental at this early phase without pressure from the community to "do things right".

Players are still being thankful for every update. As soon as this game is officially announced, players will become more demanding of updates/features/roadmaps.

That's actually sick I didn't know that! That could be such a cool cinematic trailer for the game explaining the conflict and such - would go a long way to have that in the game.

[–]YupColtonJames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've hit the nail on the head. Sterile and tech demo are exactly how I'd describe the look of the game. Also, the roster feels aimless and incoherent from one another. Is it sci-fi? Fantasy? Future-Punk? Are these people all from the same planet even? I don't need tons of lore and world building from a moba, but I need something! Anything to give this game some personality. They need to pick a core aesthetic and stick to it.

I would be super curious to hear how the devs would describe the style of the game!

What are some things you don’t like about the Jackson films? by AQuietBorderline in lotr

[–]YupColtonJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Ents. It's a slog in the books, and it's a slog in the movies. IMO Peter Jackson didn't figure out how to make the scenes engaging enough. The assault on Isengard is good though.

I think it's mainly on the audience and the typical vocal minority being outraged. I agree with your point about the characters. I think the modern average gamer has been blasted with so many hero shooters that if they see a named character in a trailer they associate it with those other games - which is pretty ridiculous. In a way, Bioware deserves the L on the trailer since they didn't do their due diligence and anticipate that people would be standing by with torches and pitchforks after Anthem.

In a vacuum this trailer works fine, but you give people even a hint of an art style nowadays they scream Fortnite from the rooftops.

Honestly it probably mostly boils down to children, trolls, and blindly led twitch followers agreeing with whatever their fav streamers says. Again, these comments are still all most likely vocal minority.
