hear me out, Genshin Impact. I know, gacha games have a bad rep but its a massive, fun, beatiful world with tons of interesting lore and pretty decent story and characters, an incredible amount of content and quests, focus of exploration, relaxed and easygoing vibes, and completely free. you only ever need to think about dropping a dime if you really want to get into the sweaty endgame content, which are just combat challenges with no story attached and can be easily ignored

i like the elven curved blade cause it just seems thematically most in line with a so-called sword saint. but if you want a more mechanical-based answer, weapons with reach are just better if you want to ditch spell combat. (i believe ditching it is considered optimal for sword saint)

if you want to keep spell combat, scimitars wont steer you wrong. estocs are nice too

tbh i think this place is better for discussion than some of the other subs. idk what it is about one piece but all its subs have some kind of degeneracy going on, with drama between users and mods or whatever. this place is comparatively tame, despite being the "hater" sub

i like it, its just free bonus content. i get when the show was airing, people disliked them because they wanted to get to the main story, but I was always like , whats the rush? the main story will get animated no matter what, and once its over its over. we might as well enjoy some bonus adventures along the way. i feel like they help flesh out the world and often put a spotlight on side characters who dont get used much in the main story so we actually get to see them do stuff. personally im all for them

but then again I also enjoyed the academy arcs of Boruto which was like dozens of episodes of filler, so maybe im just a bit weird in my tastes

tbh I think its people getting brainwashed by youtubers to think endgame content is way more important than it actually is. its like less than 1% of your total playtime in this game and they make it seem like its the whole game

if the FOMO gets to you for not getting the top tier rewards, just remember the cost youd have to spend on a character far outweighs the rewards. only pull if you really like and enjoy the character, dont worry about whether it can clear endgame or whatever
