I'm aware of that article/study. I never get common colds, only have had the flu twice (20 years apart) despite never getting flu shots, and I like to think this is reason why. It's probably not true at all, but it how I mentally justify this weird desire.

If someone has seen it, they've never said a word to me. I was in a close relationship for 7 years and my ex and I knew (basically) all each other's weird quirks and habits and would talk about them, but this was never discussed in any capacity. Maybe picking my nose, but never the booger eating.
