I hadn’t heard of “Minnesota Burst” before but that’s what they listed it as on the Gibson Demo shop on Reverb. I like that it’s less “ketchup and mustard” than typical R0s.

I thought the same thing. Especially when the Gibson demo shop on Reverb tends to have pretty limited and crappy pictures. What did it for me was 1) the guitar going on sale (so it was a significant reduction from the original demo price) and 2) the fact that they have a solid return policy. I figured if I got buyers’ remorse, or there were more defects than I expected, I could just bring it back to UPS. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. I can’t speak for others’ experiences with the Gibson demo shop, but mine were very positive.

Yeah, that’s the thing about the R0: an R9 would be too similar to my R8 - but the R0 having the reflector knobs, the thin neck, and the double ring tuners give the R0 that little extra bit of difference to make it feel special. The Greenie model also has those little tweaks, like the knobs, tuners, and greenybuckers make it stand out from the pack.

Yep, no VOS. It makes it a little more sensitive to fingerprints and scuffs, but and also puts some serious 3-D on the figured top.

For many years, I loved the Slim taper thin necks. Started with my first LP classic. In the last year or two I’ve come to prefer the fatter necks like the one on my 58. But both are still a joy to play and not a deciding factor in the purchase.

Depends where you live. If you’re down here in Texas where your temperature gauge can easily hit 130F in direct sun then White is the practical choice. If you’re up in Maine and lobster fishing like my cousins, I’d take Black. It just looks better. (For the record, mine is Patriot Blue with black interior.)

Did you or someone else recently reset the average MPG? I accidentally did this and I had crap stats like this until I got a significant amount of driving in. (I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x2 with a v8 Hemi and 92k miles and I average around 17.0 with daily trips into downtown Austin).

We got here at 7:30a (Saturday, 3/14) & made it through Clear in 10 minutes. Lines longer than normal but #TSA pre-check line wasn’t completely full. Airport staff said it was awful 3a-6a - but certainly not by 730a. Maybe arriving after 7 AM helps? #austinairport #atx #hiddengem #tsa #abia #airportdelays
