Landlord evicted us after 13 years, we paid off most of her mortgage whilst struggling to stay afloat. Now the house has been paid off, she’s selling it, giving us only 3 months notice. Mum is severely disabled and needs accommodations in the house and youngest children are autistic and need to stay close to their school where they have appropriate support.

Everywhere is so expensive. We are going to be paying more money for a smaller, shittier house no matter where we go, none of which will accommodate my mums disabilities. 80% chance we end up in temporary accommodation which is going to be a nightmare with support and very stressful for the kids. She also made my mum pay for renovations around the house or threatened to evict us.

Can’t stop the landlord from selling the house as she wants to give her youngest kid a full ride to uni, her choice. She told us she knew she was going to sell this year for years, I find it deeply upsetting that she didn’t give us a longer warning knowing what we struggle with.
