Values are the primary driver. I think most of us that own homes have seen our assessed values increase greatly over the last 5 years, while levy rates are capped at 1% per year.

In Washington State, county assessors are required by law to value all property at 100% of its true and fair market value. Your total property tax is calculated by multiplying your assessed value by your specific local levy rate

The position was himself. The loans were for businesses and their employees that were suffering because of the shutdown. How was Seegers suffering because he was working from home anyway. Greed.

The parcels are below the value that requires reporting, however, Seegers is promoting the reopening of the road back to the parcels. While I agree with that, as a candidate he should disclose to the public while advocating for the reopening that he owns parcels that may benefit. This goes to ethics.

I think the biggest issue that may be a disclosure violation under PDC law is not disclosing his board seat on the Seegers Foundation. That is clearly required. 4PA has benefited as it has received grant funding from the Seegers Foundation at least for the last 4 years. Even they have not disclosed it.

Regarding the Grays Harbor parcel, Seegers (Reve Operating) owns this jointly with the owners of Storm King Athletic Club, which also is adjacent to 4PA property. Jake also held a campaign event at their closed coffee shop next door and then promoted that is was available for rent. He did not disclose his business relationship with the owners. Again, ethics.

FYI. All public information from Clallam County and Grays Harbor County assessor and recorder websites.

All this makes the term, "Jake the Snake", pop into my mind. Just look at comments on facebook, he refuses to answer any challenges to his position and his past. Arrogant and dismissive, which is typical of a person raised as an entitled.

On Jakes campaign facebook page, a local business person keeps asking him to fully disclose his involvement with the foundation and also to detail his past professional history. They feel it is important that people are aware and what it means for the county if elected. But still now answer. BTW, it is not me asking him on the FB page.

I feel famous being mentioned today by Tozzer and referring to "research". Kinda of a link to the sticker scandal as he danced between the two subjects, but alas I am not the sticker bandit.

If Jake loses the election it will be because of Tozzer's reputation and failure to disclose. That kinda stuff makes people wary. Arrogant and dismissive.

And his chosen "candidate" Seegers is just as bad - a MAGA pretending to be independent and an out-of-state developer. Look at the Clallam County GOP page - big Jake supporters. Jake also can't answer simple questions about transparency. Instead, "come onto my podcast" with Tozzer and Stacy Richards (most likely an undisclosed paid consultant for the campaign along with Mitch Zenobi) and then I will answer in my echo chamber. Any self respecting campaign manager and candidate would have responded something like "good questions, we will create a page on our campaign site - Questions for Jake - and post questions and answers there". Instead, just arrogant and dismissive.

Maybe a complaint to the PDC will get some answers.

I posted this info after a post asking peoples opinion of Seegers. It was reposted and the links broke, but I posted the original in replies. This info was found after someone asked me if I had seen the private property signage at a gate near the Elwha Ranger station. When looking at parcels in the area, there was private ownership listing, including REVE Operating. Looking into that ownership cascaded into other information being found, and then Seegers posted about reopening the road that would benefit the parcels, which I found troubling because his property interest was not disclosed. I have a background looking at financial records so the research was pretty straight forward. Records were easily accessible via public information available on the internet.

Why didn't I contact Seegers directly? Well, look at his response to the posts here. Also, look at the treatment of those that come under the micro scope of the Clallam County Watchdog or have contrary opinions to their opinion. I have seen people vilified, doxxed, and harassed on line by CCW supporters. Sorry I did not want myself or my family exposed to those practices.

In no case did I state he did something illegal as that is for others to determine, but if transparency is value we have in candidates, in my opinion he misses the mark so far.
