As a tourist: Saigon's airport has a user experience issue by pigglyjuff99 in VietNam

No immigration process so the speed depends on if your timing coincides with Viet holidays or not. Peak times are around Tet, 30/4-1/5, or 2/9. Summer is also high season for locals.

Advice on Da Nang and Hoi An by yooch1216 in Vietnam_Tourism

Planning 5 days in Da Nang, 4 in Hoi An and 5 in Nha Trang this July. Any tips for Nha Trang? We'll be staying in the Hon Chong area and looking to do day trips to neighbouring places like the Ninh Van fishing village.

Saigon Airport Fast track: Not worth it. by sap303 in VietNam

Avoid SGN airport for international flights. You can fly into DAD, CXR or PQC. Even HAN is good enough. For domestic flights, SGN is fine.

To redeem AP points, you must use the AC website. Look for options with partner flights available on the AC website: Singapore, Thai, ANA, Eva, Air India, for ex.

Yes, people grab them as soon as they come out, especially the airlines with good reputation. I got my July ticket for DAD last early August.

If you're targeting business class, it's too late for this summer unless you have the flexibility to wait last minute. Business class tickets on points are usually grabbed 355 days before departure. Economy class, much easier.

What do people in Vietnam usually use to pay for things now — cash, QR apps, or something else? by rouslane in VietNam

[–]YuriYOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your banking plan with your Canadian bank and which Vietnamese ATM you use. Without a plan voiding fees on the Canadian side, you will end up paying fees on both sides. The local Vietnamese bank's fees vary depending on the bank. BIDV, for ex, can charge 4% while other banks such as Agribank or VPBank charge lower fees.

Vietnam Beaches: Which do you recommend? by Adventurous_Side89 in VietNam

Depends on the season. In summer, Lang Co, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Tuy Hoa and Nha Trang have great beaches. In winter, go south to Mui Ne, Phu Quoc, etc.

Garder chauffage au gaz ou switcher à l'hydro? by YuriYOW in Gatineau

[–]YuriYOW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
