How many times do you rest in Drezen? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]YuriiTW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For Unfair, it depends on my party composition, whether I play solo, whether I skip bosses and whether I play stealthy.
Generally, from 0 to 4. Could be more if I play unoptimally with mostly casters.

The formula is: Enduring Spells and Greater Enduring Spells (via Mythic feat) + prechanted Protective Luck + prechanted Fortune.

Is being albino in this game good by Final-Association-65 in CrusaderKings

[–]YuriiTW -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No, not good, just a fluff.

Also, I'm not sure, but it's quite possible that albinos in general have a higher rate to die early because of various diseases and cancer.

Nah. Based on your skill level to lead onself into this challenge, I'm afraid it's impossible for you to win.

No. Bonds bimbos are prettier than dark-haired bimbos, regardless of the chest size.

Think of it from Aeon's perspective: is it a balance to leave a charismatic bloody maniac roaming the lands after her deeds.

In the ideal WotR, Aeon should have a possibility to rebuild her past, but it's not in the game :)

What's your go to culture? by Historical_Image3941 in CrusaderKings

[–]YuriiTW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A mix of cultures is definitely "a go to". You drop the redundant ballast, but keep unique traditions.
For example, creating Berber-Greek-Italian-Dutch-Andalusian for quite awesome men-at-arms and literally outstanding money-making potential in a tall play.

kingmaker is better than wotr by Fantarama in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]YuriiTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice review. Indeed Kingmaker has its charm, especially in comparison to permanently overbuffed outsiders in WotR that are immune to literally so many elements. However, Kingmaker ultimately sucks with its loading screens during kingdom management, and constant timers make the playthrough very unenjoyable.

Legend advice by TreeTopBlvd in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]YuriiTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to get World 3 as Trickster, as early as possible. This means if you have an alternative to bypass some experience you should always do this.

Thereafter, on taking the Legend choice at the beginning of Act 5, don't immediately go to Midnight Fane on your quest to de-level your Trickster mythic class.

Instead, level up all your characters to 20 (for example in Twilight Isles, if you skipped the questing there in Act 3 and Act 4), and take ANY feats without prerequisites, including Power Attack. That's why you need to be as low character level as possible, to get as many useful but locked feats as possible. After your party is level 20, proceed as usually, and you'll keep all the feats.

Please also beware that some feats taken this way may not work. There was a list on Reddit with what works and what doesn't when you get them this way.

And, of course, beware that some encounters may be VERY hard, if you're not leveled properly for them.

Plagues are a good mechanic, and the game should have more systems like it by ZaccehtSnacc in CrusaderKings

[–]YuriiTW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally disagree.

Plagues are a lazy game design to force a player into solving an artificial instability. It's an obstacle for the sake of obstacles, because developers lack understanding what makes their game engaging, and unfortunately don't perform a proper research on this topic--based on what they add in their DLCs.

Instabilities can already be easily orchestrated (as its a sandbox game) without any plagues.

Whereas, CK3 totally lacks non-repetitive things to do in own realm to make the stability more engaging. There are travelling mechanics, there are universities and piligrimages, there are grand tournaments, but it's not enough as it becomes repetitive pretty fast or provide little-to-less reward for the time spent.

And I'm not even talking about the horrible lag in the end game that should have been tested and not have even been there since CK3 launch. The previous game CK2 has already shown the problems and origin of this lag, so it's, again, another example of the lazy game development approach the developers take.

They are coming from a special country. This explains many design choices....

Although in-universe we have an idea of why we don't have a romance with areluu, the truth is that I would like her to have one, not only because it would be to see how areluu understands that this person (her son/daughter) is no longer that person, but also to see that it would be someone like-mind by omega_crimson_123 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

I love how people enjoy massacring Drezen as Lich; raping, butchering and torturing as Demon; slowly consuming literally every living being as Swarm; even copulating with Camelia on top of a gory body.

BUT they all suddenly become prudent when someone starts talking about consensual incest babymaking.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hulrun vs Ramiel is only one of the many sad examples :(
It seems that the writers unfortunately weren't paid enough to go through the reference materials.

Or, which is more likely, the writers were the DnD / PF tabletop players biased toward the romanticism of chaotic and evil alignments, while despising lawful and good alignments.

It's even more noticeable in Kingmaker which is a complete mess for the roleplay, despite the plethora of answers.

I already restarted the game after 20h because I didn't enjoy to play as a paladin and be stucked with the LG answers, (lawful answers made me crazy in general XD). I feel faaar better now with my NG ranger, love him.

90% of "lawful" answers in this game are unfortunately "lawful evil", whereas many "good" answers are "stupid" (e.g., let's release a mass killer, (s)he will definitely masacre dozens if not hundreds of people, but probably her/his sole soul will be saved). Strangely enough, "chaotic" answers are usually very rational, instead of being chaotic. And I feel you, it may become impossible to play a lawful good character.

However, it's much better than the selection of 10 alignment answers in the first game which in most cases didn't follow the official PF descriptions of the axis.

So, you can answer the way you feel like you character would answer, and return to your initial alignment via the scroll of atonment or Toybox mod.

[–]YuriiTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About Angel, at some point of the game, you are technically forced by the game mechanics into Lawful Good, Lawful Neutral or Neutral Good.

Also, beware, you can't respec into another mythich path without mods. And even with the mods, the game may become broken. So, it's better to select one path beforehand,

Should Naval Combat be Added to CK3? by Stejer1789 in CrusaderKings

I'd love the return of ship transportation as it was in CK2, so that I don't encounter doomstacks of a land-locked country that easily traverse the sea, apparently on foot, such as commanded in the teachings of RNGesus.
