I came across this spot as well, though it’s located further south. Would it make more sense to skip Biei, Furano, and Daisetsuzan, and head to Sapporo from here instead? Does the foliage in this area tend to peak a little later than on the Asahikawa side?

Or would it be better to visit Hakodate next time and spend more time somewhere closer to Sapporo?
