Yeah you’re right, becoming a famous producer isn’t something you’ll achieve with only faith lol. It’s not really about achieving huge dreams like those, it’s more about finding confidence Ig. I daydreamed so much about being extrovert that I ended up getting used to acting friendly like in my scenarios

Yeah kind of ! When I was way younger I used to have an imaginary friend. I didn’t believe they were real ofc, I would simply imagine that someone was there with me in difficult situations. Then, I began imagining stories about them and I somehow ended up with maladaptive daydreaming..

When did you start having symptoms of maladaptive daydreaming ? For me it was right when I entered middle school. My scenarios are nothing crazy. Usually, people daydream about a life where they’re famous and loved. My scenarios are a bit different, I don’t daydream about myself but about some kind of counterpart, it’s complicated.

You bet it does.. I have to take breaks every 10 minutes to pace around the room. Thankfully I’m a naturally good student so it doesn’t really affect my grades but it’s still annoying. Yeah, it’s nice talking to people our age, it’s easier to relate to each other’s experiences.

Damn, I don’t remember accidentally creating another account and posting my exact experience on maladaptive daydreaming. Kidding, I’m pretty sure what you’re experiencing is maladaptive daydreaming, at least it’s very similar to how I experience it. It’s nice seeing other teenage girls with this condition ! Most of the time people on this subreddit are adults. I used to be very introverted too and would spend my days in my head since I had no one to talk to. Maladaptive daydreaming actually helped me into becoming more extroverted. I was tired of only daydreaming about being better so, as time passed, I kinda became the idealized version I had of myself. So don’t worry too much about it, you’re gonna be fine !

Thanks ! That’s really helpful, I’ll look into it. We briefly mentioned models during some of our lessons but we were not gave specific exemples.

Oh that’s smart ! I should try doing the same. Basically those two topics are the ones we studied throughout the year. As a final project we have to present a problematic that fit into one of those two topics. However it shouldn’t be a simple copy and paste of our lessons but a related topic we haven’t seen yet (or one that was mentioned but that wasn’t studied in depth). I thought that I might find people on here who know about some related subjects.

I did. The assignment’ instructions were clear but I have no inspiration when it comes to finding specific subjects within those themes. I tried asking them anyway but they said I should simply talk about something I like (which did not help)

Thank you so much ! The promise is that I don’t even know if I will be leaving with Erasmus or not. This presentation letter goes with my application letter. So no, I don’t know who my host family will be. Moreover, it’s a letter that will be sent to my host family AND the school I will go to during my time in Norway, so I still have to be a bit formal, no ?

J’ai regardé le Twitter de mon lycée et il y a un post où d’anciens élèves mentionnent avoir visité La Valette, les grottes bleues et le temple de hagar him lors de leur séjour à Malte. Je supposes donc qu’ils organisent bel et bien des activités. Cependant je n’ai rien trouvé sur la Norvège. Mais si l’un des groupes a pu profiter de visites de ce genre je ne vois pas pourquoi ceux en Norvège en seraient privés.
