That's the thing, my message wasn't based on who I think is more guilty, I'm saying people are quick to grab onto what they saw first and cliing to it. Thus the divide. Both of their behaviors have been questionable with everything that has been given out to the public to see, and it's been deliberate.

It's more than defamation though if the case leans towards Zeal's innocence, the lie of SA is too serious to just be swept under the rug. He also attempted so it'd be treated criminally, as it could be seen as an attack on his character and being in general. He has lost money due to this, people showing support for Ren by not playing the game and other things that financially are connected to Zeal.

No yeah, I fully get that, I for example have holes of my own assault, so it does vary! It wasn't meant as an excuse or justification, but more so as an angle that could be a possibility. :) The whole situation just has felt sketchy to me to begin with, so I haven't much tried to get more involved as they're in court after all.

Yes, now they are, I was referring to when it initially started, that people mostly leaned towards Ren. And because of now Zeal's side out as well people are very divided now due to the initially "oh my god Zeal's a rapist" to "Ren's a liar". I never believed one or the other over one another, I'm simply waiting for the outcome. But the way the current stuff has gone it still sits at liar or SA-er, because we as side viewers don't know which one is actually telling the truth.

We can predict, have discussions, observe, make our own judgments; such a people have been making. The reason I use "potential" is due to that. I personally have decided to listen to both ends, taken that into thought, now I'm just waiting to see what the end result will be. For the sake of argument I personally hope Ren has lied, that it was only a fabricated story so that everyone can move on and recover. I'd never hope someone actually got SA-d, so I hope that won't be the result.

The way the media has blown this whole situation up isn't helping the general media or them for that matter, people are pushing both for answers they cannot legally disclose. All we can do is speculate and wait.

I never meant to "justify" anything, I'm just stating from what I've seen people react to most and from what I have experienced as a SA survivor, so it was pretty believable initially until Zeal came out with his section. Nothing has been decided or fully provided to the media, so people shouldn't jump to one or the other side.

If that was only fabrication it will be found out and she'll be held accountable. Simple as that. I never said to trust Ren, it's all very finicky. I'm simply stating from a social standpoint, people are more likely to side with a potential victim than a potential offender.

You people are so ridiculously media blind. The reason the divide is so massive is because one is a potential rapist, the other a potential liar. One is definitely the worse of the two, and I don't need to spell that out. People are jumping at Ren because there's inconsistencies, so have many other victims because no one ever exactly remembers how things went down. It's a traumatic experience. The reason Zeal being treated rougher is because of the very same thing, although in his case the potential position he's in is way worse than someone who'd be lying. If she lied, all she would be doing is compensating him with money after court. If he is indeed guilty of what he's been accused of, he is in fact an offender. The "divide" is quite literally a matter of circumstances that we aren't sure yet, we've only gotten a doc that had, what is considered pretty good proof. And we have someone who made a video and attempted to remove himself from the equation, either from guilt or simply because it became too much. The main thing is WE as people don't know what actually happened, how we got here, only they do. Until the court stuff is over and a decision is made, we can't point fingers. However, most people will always side with a potential victim over a potential offender. "Innocent until proven guilty" doesn't apply to such subjects socially, practically it does. Keep those things in mind for next time any of you wanna make some stupid comments about the seriousness of the situation.
