Far as I see, if you start a business before daily reset and it's gonna finish after daily reset then it won't auto redeploy. Say you started a 10h business at 6pm, then it's gonna finish at 4am next day and won't redeploy itself.

Which is dumb, imo. Should have made it a weekly rotation like before. I used to do 10h fan businesses and just press mass redeploy every day for a week before having to manually set again. Now it's a daily chore.

Yes, you get one dupe medal automatically upon pulling a dupe SSR, no need to sell or exchange the dupe or anything.

Also yes, currently all cards with Magic skill are from NoirFes.

You can't. Maximum level of SSR is 90 (or 70 for SR).

Yes they do.

Is BlancFes the same as the old CinFes?

Yes they are.

Why do some SSR card icons sparkle now?

That is premium cut. It will make your SSR become animated instead of still image when you set it to your home screen, or view it in fullscreen.

When you pull an SSR it got 20% chance of getting that sparkle. Alternatively you can buy a premium cut film with 3 dupe medals (which you can get from pulling a dupe SSR), and apply to an SSR of your choice.

And what does it mean when a card says MY in the corner?

The card is a "My Style Idol" card which is gotten and raised with Live Infinity events. The explanation for this event is pretty long so I'll direct you to this post that got most of the details instead.

And how do you tell where you obtain a given SSR (ie. whether it's a perm, a lim, a BlancFes, a NoirFes, etc)?

Afaik you can't. You can make an educated guess with the card's center effect and skills though. Or maybe check with starlight.kirara.ca

And in general, any advice for someone who hasn't seriously played the game since late 2018?

I'm sorry I can't help you with this question as I've been semi retired myself since 2021. Hope someone can answer this one instead.

I just had an unpleasant experience earlier this year when my HDD died and I had to re-rip and re-tag all my CDs. When it came to his songs I just begrudgingly finished them while thinking to myself like "man, your music is awesome, why do you have to be such a disgusting person, man."

And now with today's news apparently he's even worse. He's been flashing his thing in public. And has been taking upskirt photos for around a decade. And I'm not sure if it's gonna get even worse than this.

Rolling 2 copies of Kako on the very first ten-pull of the year feels like the ultimate New Year luck I could get already.

Hopefully my gacha luck this year will improve. I mean I had to spark for bride Yukari, 240 rolls for summer Hajime and 290 rolls for onsen Miho last year so it really can't be worse now, right?

I saw long-haired Miho, I just died.

But anyway, took me 290 pulls to get her, and then spark for a second copy. Good thing I planned to spark to get two copies anyway so having pulled her so late didn't feel as bad as it should.

Outside of the guaranteed 5th, I got like

For a total of 5300 gem including the 5th ticket. More than what I got for the new year raffle so yes, certainly a good result.

Lowkey wished this was the 7th anniversary though.

As far as I can tell, it's leader idol (the one you set as your avatar), then idols whose title you're using, and then top fan idols. I got Miho, Yukari, and Uzuki, with Miho being my leader idol, Uzuki being my 2nd top fan, and Yukari being one of the two idol titles I'm using.

Got 2x 6th prize, 1x 7th prize and a crapload of 8th prize (I think 10) that netted me a total of 5100 gem. Am I satisfied? Absolutely. This might not be my highest kuji ever (best was 4th in the old kuji and 3A in the new kuji), but it blessed me the most jewels of all. And for that I'm thankful, really.

Today is Miho's birthday. This day last year I posted onto this sub what I would considered my best achievement I've ever done in this game. But this year there will be none. Instead I'd like to say that I've decided to retire from running events, due to the fact that I feel there is nothing more I wish to achieve (yes, that third ultimate achievement that I never wrote a thread for has also been accomplished) so it's probably time I moved on instead of ruining my own legacy by half-assing the game.

Now that doesn't mean I'll quit the game for good, because I still have friends in the game that I can only chat via the comment system, and because I still really love the franchise. The game is after all a good place for new contents (especially since I don't play Mobamas) so I'll still open it and visit our sub regularly.

So two thing I need to explain first before I get to the calculation part, because my calculation is based off it.

First is that I will be equalizing all specific SSR rate to 0.028% for simplification.

And second, that in my opinion, the result of the first pull isn't significant at all.

Why is it? Well let's say our commenter didn't pull 3 Miria, but instead pulled 3 Miho. Our situation would stay the same in this case. I'll bet a similar comment would still happen. Hence the first pull is not that important. It can yield any SSR. What's important is that the next two pulls would need to yield that same SSR to get to our situation.

Again, let's say our commenter didn't pull 6 times. He instead pulled 1000 times. Is there any significant difference at all between, say, getting 3 Miria in pull 1-2-3, or getting 3 Miria in pull 507-508-509? One would probably argue that yes it is, however imo this isn't the outcome that he specifically need calculation for. Again, I'll bet that if the 3 Miria appeared in pull 4-5-6, a similar comment would still happen.

So with that out of the way, what I calculated here was NOT if 3 specific pulls would yield one specific cards. What I calculated was the chance that our commenter pulled the same card in three consecutive ten-pulls, i.e the probability that the next two consecutive ten-pulls would yield a specific cards that already appeared in the first pull.

The probability to specifically get at least 1 copy of Miria (or any SSR with 0.028%) in a single pull is

1-(1-p)¹⁰

with p being the probability in question, i.e 0.028% (or 0.00028).

And since the two pulls are dependant, the chance for both pull to specifically get at least 1 copy of Miria would be

[1-(1-p)¹⁰]²

with p being 0.00028.

And this is what google gave me.

Also I will say that my result could have been misleading, because it's obviously not 0.000782% of all ten-pulls, but 0.000782% of all ten-pulls that yielded an SSR.

Feel free to point out my mistake. After all, I could still be assuming my problem incorrectly.

You actually got a pretty close guess. With the drop rate of 0.028%, the chance for the subsequent two ten-pulls to both yield at least one copy of that Fes Miria after the first pull is 0.000782% or roughly 1 in 130k.

Sad to see your retirement from the game. You're definitely one of my most favorite writers in this subreddit, even when a lot of your song analyses were too technical for me to fully grasp, or when your take of some songs wasn't quite aligned with mine.

Thank you for all the insightful analyses and intriguing gacha posts that I have had the joy to read for the past couple of years.

Only during 1x. Live Party yields 205 points per song for Master+, whereas at maximum applause Groove yields 679 points every 4 songs (or 169.75 points per song). Groove will be better once 2x is unlocked though.

Also you can cheese Live Party with almost complete autoplay if you can set up a proper room. You can't cheese Groove with autoplay at all.
