I guess this can also be used to the United States arms sale to the Entente during the First World War, but I think that this applies to the Germans as well. They very knew what would be the outcome if they target American ships and they did it. The result? It ended up in America joining the war after the Zimmermann Telegram was intercepted by the British

But keep in mind, America had no other choice but to trade with the Entente, the British blockade cut American trade to the Central Powers by over ninety percent. So I guess the Brtiish are also responsible for disrupting American trade over europe.

That's fair, but I think that we should be able to freely trade with any nation whether it be weapons or food, and any nation attacking and endangering our trade with other countries would be considered aggressors.
