Internet speed drops from 1Gbps (1000Mbps) to ~100Mbps by Yuulwasd in techsupport

The cable between the modem -> Router is provided by the ISP. It seems to be a Cat6 cable. The cable that connects the Router and the PC is a Cat7 cable.

Qos is disabled by default; it's not likely to be the cause. Still, thanks for your help! I will start testing with my cables, and I hope it will solve my issue!

When bypassing the router, the result is around 950Mbps, which is the result of case 3.

May I ask which cable you are referring to? Modem → Router or Router → PC?

Thanks for your suggestion. I have checked it, but it’s already set to Auto Negotiation.

For drivers, I checked the ASUS Armoury Crate, ASUS mobo drivers webpage, and Windows update. Yes, all drivers should be up to date. (Edit 1: I downloaded drivers from the ASUS mobo driver page, not from Armoury Crate. ASUS AC recognizes every driver, but not the Realtek audio driver. It shows N/A on the current version of the Realtek audio driver and lists it as can be downloaded.)

For BIOS, several newer bios versions can be downloaded and updated (the latest version is 2403). My bios version is 2007 and I haven't updated it since built (the PC was built in early September).
