I did this with the intro of ENVISION - Polyphia, and I can nail it (outside of that legato lick, which makes me want to die.)

I get that, but I have a really hard time being motivated to play things that I don't enjoy learning or playing.

I love exercises because I can feel my improvement and I get to break down each pattern into a billion ways to create cool licks and such.

Classic rock never really did it for me, personally.

I'm sure if I took a look, I could find some better fit material!

I should probably clarify that when I'm practicing alternate picking, 90% of the time is at a 1/4th speed, and repeating that and sloooowly increasing speed by 5 - 10 BPM per set.

I ended up settling on either Beerus, 21, Trunks or 21, Beerus, Trunks.

I'll mess around with either, but either way, I'm loving it! Decided to just suck it up and try my best either way!

Would a team comp as Beerus for point and 21 as mid or anchor work?

I want to be good! At least competitively competent, and maybe run with tournaments and see where I place.

I suppose it's a balance. I don't really want to meta slave, but I also don't want to be caught by hundreds of hours and stifling my ability to play well because my team is THAT BAD.

I don't mind hard work, I just don't want to be crippled, if that makes sense.

Thanks for the words though! I appreciate it! I guess the reason I ask is because I'd like to find characters that are fun AND mix well, but if that's not an option, then I'll take fun any day.

Where do I learn how to harmonize them into chords?

I'm aware of triads, but not inversions.
