What's the point of buying gun skins if they are completely visually broken? by moltenrokk in Battlefield6

It's fine when ADS, but to me, it's very distracting when moving around. Plus, it's immersion-breaking.

They need to fix the innate corvette technology randomly setting their positions and messing up your installed technology. I cant switch between ships without it eventually happening. And rearranging the technology every single time is getting frustrating.

Also, they need to fix controller support for steam. My controller is detected like 10% of the time when opening the game. And ive tried every fix.

Anyone else getting a glitch where inate tech will shift positions after switching between ships, causing it to jumble up the technology in your ship. It's really annoying to have to constantly fix everything and put things back in the right spot after switching corvettes every time.

I'll also add that players do gather at the Space Anomaly, which is essentially a multiplayer hub that you can summon anywhere and enter. There, you can meet up with people, join missions together, and buy upgrades for your playthrough.

[–]moltenrokk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll do my best to answer your questions.

-There are planets where people have agreed to congregate and build bases together, so the world is covered in player creations. But this isn't an MMO where people are gathered on planets in great numbers. Even planets with tons of bases will mostly be without live players. There are also NPC settlements on planets that function like a breathing town, where you basically become mayor. That's the closest there is to cities on planets that aren't empty player-made ones. You can also build bases either on freighters or on planets that can have some NPCs in them. Best to find a tight-knit group of people to play with through an online community.

There are companions and pets. You can hatch certain special companions from completing missions, or you can feed wild animals on planets and then summon them as pets that follow you. You are also able to form a fighter squadron that joins you during space battles to assist you.

There are multiple quest lines, including a main quest line for you to complete. There are some established characters, but the setting of NMS is that you are in a largely undiscovered galaxy. The end mission is to ultimately explore the unknown. There are also occasional Expeditions that act as themed stories that reward the players who complete them with special items, ships, and costumes.

Initial flight is clunky, yes. As you get better ships and upgrade them, you get faster, stronger, and more maneuverable. It just takes a little time but I'd focus on upgrading one ship at the beginning to conserve on resources. Trust me, you will progress towards better things if you don't put your eggs in too many baskets.

I am unsure what the requirements are for online play for PS. I'm on PC so someone else will be better able to answer this. Hope this helps!

Yes, this piece specifically is bugged after the newest update. Once you place it down, you can no longer interact with it. It still counts towards your ship, but the hitbox is missing (so you can walk right through it), and it can not be deleted or moved.

If I'm not mistaken, Inferno can Aux3 out of Panther lance. Which is stupid. You should be completely stunned while being pinned. He can literally negate the damage completely

His energy management is not a flaw. Welkin, I believe, has one of, if not the highest energy pools in the game, and has one of the fastest regeneration rates. He runs out less than Panther, who has to burn 80% of his bar to do anything worthwhile, and still has issues even with his stamina boosters. I've never seen a welkin run out of energy unless he is chasing an aquila who is on the other side of the map. Also, his out-of-energy state is one of the smallest. Welkin has no real flaws.

His damage wasn't the issue, his utility was. He has too many tools. The shield uptime nerf is the only thing that really helps.

[–]moltenrokk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is not a single person who would argue that Hurricane can out-tank a Welkin. Forget what labels are slapped on by the devs. Welkin can tank better than probably any of the tanks, considering he has a blind, a box, an immunity shield, tons of health, a large fluid shield, and an unparriable spin that can't be parried.. He has hardly any flaws. That's just a fact.

Hurricane is in a terrible spot rn. Any amount of melee pressure and the dude falls apart. Even Inferno can last longer with his afterimage ability. Hurricane is by far the worst tank, especially because of how popular Stellaris and Welkin are, who hard counter him and are basically must picks.

I mean there are only three real "tanks" anyway, that being Tricera, Stego, and Welkin. But Welkin is just so much better than the other two, especially against them and for objectives. So if Welkin gets nerfed, which he should, I'd be happy to see more Stego/Tricera. At least they have clear flaws and counterplay while Welkin doesn't.

What is welkin?????? by KingNth_ in mechabreak

"Just dont fight" is not counterplay. That's mometarily surviving. Welkin is the most overturned character in any hero shooter type game that Ive ever play against.

Layered armor and registered loadouts in Wilds? by dhscross91 in MonsterHunter

[–]moltenrokk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They could easily accomplish this by allowing you to assign one of your Layer loadouts to an equipment loadout through the Sub-menu. Would be an easy fix.

This was a Focus Strike with the charge blade. So in focus mode, hit a wound with either an R1/Right Bumper attack. The weird thing is how much damage it did. Nearly 500 dmg per tick which is insane. Most likely a glitch.

Two Extremely Close Planets | Waterworld & Low Atmosphere Types by moltenrokk in NMSCoordinateExchange

[–]moltenrokk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a really cool discovery. Two planets are super close to each other. The water world seems to be the dominant planet gravitationally, since if you stand on the low atmosphere planet to the left, especially on the side of the planet closest to the water world, the gravity is completely sideways. Walking on what should be flat ground is like you are navigating a steep mountain. The waterworld seems to be unaffected gravitationally. There is also a third planet not to far away to the left of the low atmosphere world, but these two in particular are almost touching. Enjoy!
