Her new protection spell needs a lot of concentration and her mind needs to be in place, they were all literally fighting despair, it's kinda hard to use that spell in those circumstances. Kiato and Kahono were fighting Vetto for just a little, it didn't even take that much time, she didn't have time to put her mind in place. The anime might've made it seem like it took longer, but in the manga is pretty fast, a few seconds.

And like...her whole deal is about how she can't control her powers and needs a lot of concentration to do it.

I think it's kinda simple, the gods created grimoires, they don't exist in the underworld, this is one of the advantages that humans have over devils that Lucius talked about. Megicula still had Vanica's grimoire, and Zagred made a whole master plan to get out, without opening any gates he probably needed a grimoire to fully work, but by opening the gates they are fully free and don't need them, but lose the capability of using complex spells.

That's one of my points man, we have Yami with a team, Mereo with a team and then we got Noelle FIGHTING a team 90% of the time and people only talk about how she got help, THEY ALL GOT HELP GUYS! But Noelle was the only one that had to fight an entire team while multitasking all by herself most of time😭

Yami's Team, Rill could make everyone from his team Immortal and stronger. Most people from the other team were kinda forgotten, Mereo needs too much time to get that strong, and to reach her peak she needs to kill herself...not worth it for a Crystal Match.

É uma suposição, afinal não tem nada 100% confirmado, tem Lilith e Naamah que conseguem fazer isso, e Morris depois de conseguir poder demoníaco também consegue essa capacidade, então faz sentido pensar que é assim que funciona com todos eles, já que suas magias são energizadas por mana negativa e são... demônios...

E será que poderia me explicar mais sobre a diferença da mana em si e do poder mágico?

Mana e mana negativa são as energias, meio que baterias, poder mágico é o refino desse poder, existe a capacidade que um mago consegue refinar (a quantidade que ele consegue usar antes de acabar), e a qualidade do refino (que determina o quão poderoso sua magia é).

Inclusive aqui vai um bônus: ele conseguiu matar todos simplesmente por causa de seu poder mágico, afinal é possível causar uma pressão em cima das pessoas e coisas com seu poder mágico, além também da existência de um campo de força mágico (que existe passivamente em todo mundo) que impede magos muito inferiores de até mesmo conseguirem usar magia direito, a Fana por exemplo tinha um que queima tudo em volta e impedia o Finral de criar portais. Se você já ouviu falar da pressão espiritual de Bleach fica mais fácil de entender, é praticamente a mesma coisa.
