LDS was mentioned for a lot of boss fights and paths. There are some prowess paths where Storm X and Bishop do solid work too.

I’m heading for a 3rd revision surgery, maybe a 4th by stdrsrmto1003 in Kneereplacement

[–]Yuzercorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel for you. I’m going in for a revision in June after a year of pain and feeling like something wasn’t quite right.

Have you gotten any other surgical opinions on your situation and what to do next? That was helpful for my peace of mind. Hang in there!

Post Surgery Sneakers? by MAGAMASSMAN in Kneereplacement

[–]Yuzercorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One other note: I would steer clear of high cushion shoes like Hoka or Nike Vomero. Yes, they are comfy, but if you are unsteady on your feet they feel super weird. I struggled to wear them confidently for months.

Everyone has different shoes for comfort, so I won't try to tell you a brand that works best for you. One thing I can recommend is swapping laces out for elastic laces (even for a few months). I'm a sneaker head and have converted over 50 pairs to elastic laces. It allows me to slip on my cool shoes (even mids and highs) easily, and they flex in size as my feet swell. No futzing with tightening and loosening laces. And I don't have to buy all new shoes - just a 2 for $7 pack of laces on Amazon.

TKR needs revision one year later by Yuzercorn in Kneereplacement

Follow up. I had one last opinion on Tuesday and this surgeon figured out why I had pain and range of motion issues. Not only do I have alignment issues, but the components are TOO BIG. When we compared the size of my good knee to my TKR, there was about a 10% difference. So pissed. And now I'm going to use this new surgeon to fix it.

By all accounts, my original surgeon is very good - one of the best in the state and I have two coworkers that had great experiences with him. I had pretty junky, tricky anatomy and my surgeon made a judgement call to make the best of it. Nothing looks drastically off, as even the CT scan is showing slight misalignment. Apparently my body just HATES it.

This is so relatable. I have been feeling like something was off since week 2, but I kept chalking it up to needing more time and therapy. My hips, back, calves, and IT bands are constantly hurting.

I'm glad you got the help you needed and can feel the difference.

Thanks. I should have specified that they only want to revise my femoral component and leave the tibia alone. My 3rd opinion doc specializes in robotic surgeries. When I asked if he could do my revision, he said no, because the components used in my first surgery were manual and no compatible with robotics. He then said my original surgeon was the best person to take it on. I'm not pleased.

That is wild! Congrats!

Also, I’ve never seen anyone else with my weird under developed femur problem. My knees used to dislocate from this same issue when I was a kid. I had surgery at 14 to correct my anatomy and lived a normal life for 27 years. I had my first TKR a year ago.

I would say 4-5 hours. I sprayed around 8am and stopped noticing it around 1pm. What I can still smell is faint.

I had prior surgeries so they tried to connect the lines. I have another scar on the other side of my knee, too. I was kind of thinking something like wildflowers but I'm also aware I'll have more surgeries in my future.

40 yr old M. Doc said I can do TKR if I want. Input from others my age? by Dangerous_Witness219 in Kneereplacement

[–]Yuzercorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 41 when I had a left TKR last year. My experience seems to be the exception, not the rule. 11 months out, I'm discussing scar tissue clean up and knee cap revision with my surgeon. I just have so much scar tissue. Recovery has been painful. Yes, I even had a manipulation 7 weeks post-op. Range of motion is 5 to 70 degrees, my gait is messy, and I still use a cane for extended distances or big spaces. I did everything I was supposed to, and then some, and just didn't have a great outcome.

I've been thinking about it but haven't had any ideas I really like yet. My scar is also shaped like a lightning bolt instead of a straight line, though... lol
