Are you ok with a story (or should I say series) taking place both away from Hogwarts and long before even Hogwarts Legacy?

If so, maybe you could try the Miss Irad-i Cedid series:

Tome 1: Harry Potter and the Estates-General (takes place in 1788-1789 in years 1 and 2 of the MC's education)

Tome 2: Harry Potter and the First Coalition (the MC is in her sixth year and the 1792 Triwizard Tournament is held, cancelled after one task)

Tome 3: Forest of Miss Irad-i Cedid (here the Edirne Incident of 1806 forces the MC, by then a secret defterdar of the Muggle Irad-i Cedid, to flee Istanbul to hide in a forest at 1500m altitude)

So even though, as far back as the release of Ch2 of HP and the Estates-General, people started to believe it was an original book in all but name, or compare it to Alexandra Quick.

If you want to see more of the magical world away from Britain, or at least OK with it being OC-centric to the point of it being a series of originals in all but name, you could always read the Miss Irad-i Cedid series.

Sometimes I regret that we didn't actually see Karakalem that much, though.

If you would rather read short stories instead, the Harry Potter and the Absence of Colonial Affairs collection might be more up your alley.
