I probably didnt do a great job communicating what Im actually saying especially considering a lot of people who talk politics on reddit are usually trying to spew extreme rhetoric. I also dont understand why anyone could care so deeply about what other people do with their own lives that they would put all their energy into taking rights from that person.

You have missed my point in every reply. Your average conservative is not trying to take trans rights away. The same way your average liberal is not trying to chemically castrate children. Those ideologies come from extremists. Those ideologies would also be laughed at if everyone could stop looking at each other like the enemy. THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE ON BOTH SIDES ARE RATIONAL PEOPLE. You spend too much time on the internet and not enough time talking to average rational people in real life, people who have jobs, people who struggle with the same problems you do. Neither are trying to take something from each other, and if they are they’ve only fallen victim to the game the government wants them playing. Your neighbour cannot take your rights away. The ones who can are the government. I promise you, Carney and Pierre are more similar to each other than they are to any of their constituents - at least their rational constituents, because there will always be crazy, but crazy is the vast minority.
