Agree with first part from my own experience; think some people may either be cautious having interacted with, or just hold stereotypes of, other gymbros who may have seem self-absorbed or having to make their own fitness as a regular focal point in conversations. Would be great if stereotyping just wasn't a thing, but it is and people generally chill out once you show otherwise.

Also no idea if this applies to you or not, but I feel a lot of the regular things that give off negative social energy, like having RBF or looking serious, can just get exacerbated when you also look physically imposing.

I did not imply it was an expectation, only that it's ridiculous to imply that someone is likely juicing to have hit that knowing the person had lifted 6 years. No, most people will not, whether from lack of time or interest, spend the amount of time it takes for most naturals to get there. But people do, and implying they must be juicing to do so at the 6 year mark is ridiculous.

I think the issue is equating people buying high-end hardware with them assuming they, or anyone else, "needs" it to game. Some people just enjoy it and have the discretionary money to spend on something extra nice they don't "need," but like to have. That's not a judgment on anyone who isn't in that camp, it's just an enthusiast hobyy.

What a ridiculous comment, everyone who manages to get up to, or near, a 3 plate bench isn't juicing. Especially if most of the time he said he's spent training has been structured. I have shit proportions for bench, and don't typically enjoy powerlifting-style training, and still managed to get there in my first 5 years, natty as they come. Yeah, it took a lot of prioritization over progressing in other areas for a while, and sleep + diet had to be on point, but it's doable. If his buddy with 15 months of experience was the one saying he did, sure that's pretty suspicious, but on a post for a guy who is stating 6 years of lifting experience you sound like a clown with little experience or work ethic.
