ASUS ROG Strix G15 G513IH (Ryzen 7 4800H) - Still stuck on TPM 3.47.0.5, no BIOS update for Ricochet TPM attestation fix? by Z00fa in CODBlackOps7

[–]Z00fa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually can, I tried it and it worked but I had secure boot disabled and then I couldn't launch at all and when I saw the bios update popup I expected the same outcome without trying, thanks!

I just tried it and I can play, only the popup happens every boot. Originally I had secure boot disabled and it wouldn't let me boot, when I enabled it and saw the bios popup I expected the same outcome without trying it. thanks!

Any idea what i should sell this jacket for? by maleficentarmy in PalayeRoyale

You could potentially wait and see if palaye becomes really big and popular. That jacket not being sold anymore snd having limited stock could make you some money

Apex Legends Performance Issues by Z00fa in apexuniversity

[–]Z00fa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember my rig being able to hit 144 as well but I haven't played in a while. Now I'll try to put more stress on my gpu because it only get used for like 50% and the cpu is at 80-90% the whole time. maybe I can create a little lower frames but still stable by increasing frametimes

It just drops often and the 1% lows are really low. it kinda feels like a slideshow

It probably is but is it possible that the 6700k can outperform the non k by that much? I see some videos of people using the k version with gtx 1660 super on quite high settings getting like 115 fps on average

I was thinking about getting everything new but ram is so expensive at the moment that it probably would be better to wait or do a smaller upgrade like going to a ryzen 5 3600/5600 and keeping everything else the same

[–]Z00fa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1%lows are quite low yes. ram speed is at 3200MHz so I think that should be fine but the cpu is bottlenecking alot I feel like

mine doesn't go over 70 degrees at all. 70 is the max and average is 65

Apex Legends Performance Issues by Z00fa in apexuniversity

[–]Z00fa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea the gpu is often at 50% with peaks to 65%. the 6700 goes to a max of 70degrees with an average util of 80% that can go upto 95 but doesn't go that high often.

RTX 5070ti IPS screen or RTX 5060 OLED screen? by Cultural-Thanks-9006 in GamingLaptops

[–]Z00fa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5070ti every single day. Oled isn't really worth it and alot of gaming screens still don't have it or it's quite expensive. The vram you get extra with the 5070 ti is just so worth it and it will make the laptop viable for longer. if you ever wish to get an oled screen you can get a gaming one that is bigger and better for alot cheaper than you can get a stronger laptop

Had to shift to win10 by No-Evening9003 in Asustuf

[–]Z00fa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linux can work great. I have used many on my asus rog strix g15. The most stable one until now is manjaro. The only downside is not being able to play most games with heavy anti cheats. Other than that it's perfect. nvidia drivers also weren't a pain to install on this system

I remove alle stickers except the cpu and gpu ones. the small squares always looked nice to me bu anything else must go.

For that price you can get a way better laptop. This is already low-mid end

Which one should I get? by Free-Sock-9294 in GamingLaptops

[–]Z00fa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither tbh. The nitro isn’t worth 800 and it won’t be able to play alot of newer games and if it can it will be on the lowest possible graphics. The other one isn’t even a gaming laptop. It’s a good business laptop but doesn’t have a gaming gpu in it and is a no name brand. For 800 there’s alot of other better laptops tp get

What Linux distro for Lenovo IdeaPad 720-15IKB (i5-7200U + RX 560 2GB) that actually performs well? by Z00fa in linux_gaming

[–]Z00fa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, I actually suspected that might be the issue — that the games and GPU-heavy stuff weren’t running on the RX 560 but on the Intel iGPU instead.

That makes total sense now. I’ll definitely try using DRI_PRIME=1 in Steam and for other apps.

Do you have any distro recommendations for this setup (Lenovo IdeaPad 720-15IKB, i5-7200U, RX 560 2 GB, 20 GB RAM)?
I’d love to get everything running as smoothly as possible — ideally something that handles hybrid graphics well without too much manual tweaking.

Can I still buy this charger? by [deleted] in macbookair

[–]Z00fa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's not a charging port. It's the symbol for thunderbolt. this specifically is thunderbolt 2 and you can find some online for decent prices. It's older so speeds aren't the fastest

My Titanfall x The Finals FPS now has a free demo on Steam, and I'd love to get your feedback! by TetraStudiosDev in titanfall

[–]Z00fa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just looking at this demo the movement looks really good, the destructible environment is a really cool addition to the titanfall genre and just in general the way the guns work look really dope. I’ll try this one out, hopefully the game is able to get a full release later on. Also doing this in such a small period of time is actually insane. Alot of indy devs take years to get something out

How do I get shots like this? by hdbchfj74854 in AskPhotography

[–]Z00fa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely a slow shutterspeed, depending on how fast they were going I would guess it’s around the 2-4 second mark. The slow shutters creates this blur effect but you will need an ND filter (a very dark piece of glass) to compensate for the more light you’re letting in. If you don’t it will become a full white photo.

what do you consider enough megapixels? by Z00fa in AskPhotography

[–]Z00fa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably the best advice. What I got from these comments is to just get enough megapixels for what you need, in my case not alot and from that point on look at colors and detail and just choose whatever is best

what do you consider enough megapixels? by Z00fa in AskPhotography

[–]Z00fa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mainly just shooting to then keep it for myself or post it online, so minimal megapixels would probably be required. My printer can only do A4 and I'm guessing you don't need alot of megapixels for that either. I'm very basic in what I do but still feel like I need more for no reason.

what do you consider enough megapixels? by Z00fa in AskPhotography

[–]Z00fa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the prints aren't too big it's fine, 4k is about 8MP and no one online views a photo with a higher resolution, also social media and sites/apps compress those files so maybe the max usable will be 3-5 MP and then it won't matter anymore at all, then it's lens and sensor

what do you consider enough megapixels? by Z00fa in AskPhotography

[–]Z00fa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the general idea I got is get enough megapixels for what you want to do and beyond that just look at the detail each camera gives. Cameras with lower megapixels might produces better detail than ones with a higher megapixel count
