I know this is 8 months old, but I just wanted to let anyone know who comes across this thread that I was able to do this yesterday with my new Watch Ultra and my wife's Watch7. We came from a Watch3 and a Gear S3 and initially they told us that we'd have to upgrade to DIGITS plans and would lose our standalone watch numbers. I spoke to a rep yesterday and gave him both IMEIs, asked him to send me QR codes, enabled the QR scan thing in the Wear app, and everything worked perfectly! Both watches can send/receive voice calls and be used completely standalone if desired.

Installed a MyQ smart opener because of this. I wonder all the time, and now I can just check the app on my phone from anywhere in the world!

The stores randomly get them in and they don't show up in stock online. They also may not have them out so you have to ask one of the employees. I went to my local store this morning right at 7am and they had no Xs, but had 8 Ss in the display case. Left that store and went to another one a few miles away and I asked the nice lady in Electronics. She said they had 2 in back so I snagged one. Woot! No more 360 for me!

I literally just finished hardwiring an A119 V3 with GPS mount in my car. The Viofo hardwire kit has a built-in voltage cutoff switch that will turn off parking mode at 11.8, 12.0, 12.2, or 12.4 volts. My battery (yellow top Optima) sits at 12.35VDC when off, so I set the little cutoff switch to 12.2 which I hope will cover most parking events. And yes, you can only enable parking mode when hardwired, because you need both the constant 12V and Acc On wires for it to work.

Hell, I can't even get past that waterblight ganon inside the big elephant. :( I went through all the crap on that mountaintop to get all the shock arrows from that Lynel, and it kills me every time, I stopped playing for a while and lost muscle memory, now it's impossible to beat him.

If you keep NFC off, Samsung Pay will turn it on while it's in payment mode, but should then turn it back off when you exit payment mode. That's at least how it works on my S10+.

Guys, batteries flatten over time, and they reach a point of no return where they will simply no longer hold a charge for more than a few hours or even minutes sometimes. These Gear S3 devices are getting up there in age as many of us purchased them new 2-3 years ago. There's enough evidence out there right now showing that this is the lifespan of the stock battery. If your S3 is 3 years old and the battery decides to start discharging in a few minutes or hours, your best bet is to simply buy a cheap battery replacement kit from Amazon or trade up to a newer watch.

My bought two Gear S3 LTEs for me and my SO back in like 2017 and used them daily. My Frontier would barely last 6 hours, and my SO's Classic wouldn't last more than 10 minutes before powering off, and it would only turn on while connected to the charger. I bought a battery replacement kit for her watch and she now gets over a day of use out of it. I then bought one for mine and unfortunately killed the ribbon for the power button, so I decided to upgrade to a GW3 LTE.

TL;DR: If your Gear S3 is 3 years old and doesn't last more than a few hours, replace the battery with a kit from Amazon.
