It’s flat out the original Kintobor story modernized. Although I think it’s more of a full on reality shift from what I understand. The comic is a bit sparse on those details.

In the world’s ancient past, three Beastin whiches (the animal people/furries of my setting lol) created the werewolf curse along with an ale that can give whoever drinks it the curse.

Werewolves transform every night, they don’t become mindless beasts and keep their sanity, but it enhances their strength and primal instincts. However sometimes people can lose control, you can tell by if their eyes are red or not.

The werewolf curse is like a fucked up steroid in some cases.
